is it fear? am I imaging things?
me: *breaks down crying in the privacy of my own home*
my brain: you’re faking your emotions for attention. you’re just doing this because you think it makes for a cool personal narrative
“Is it real or is it bpd?” the #1 question in my life
my followers who have been here since i made this blog in 2012 watching me make zero impact over the course of 8 years:
stop insulting yourself. it doesn’t help.
But what if it’s true
it still doesn’t help. you can call yourself as many names as you want, but it won’t make you a better, happier, healthier or kinder person.
punishment doesn’t work. only positive reinforcement does. be kind to yourself and get better.
not being able to identify ur own emotions be like. i’m in a mood. a moody mood. the kind of mood that feels…. moody
shout out to people with abusive mothers who have to deal with the world acting like every single mother’s love is so expansive and unconditional and tender when that is the opposite of what we experienced
your feelings are real even if:
they’re caused by hormones/puberty
they’re side effects of medication
they change quickly
you don’t understand why you feel them
they’re different from how you felt in the past
it seems silly/overdramatic for you to feel that way
all feelings are real feelings. you’re the one experiencing them and no-one can tell you any different. don’t let anyone dismiss them; especially not yourself.
