Came across this photo just now and this really illustrates how little room Lolita has to live in.

Now look at the tank. 

What you see is what she gets. This is her ENTIRE living space and it has been for over 44 years. Keep in mind it is truly a bowl as well, the bottom is rounded.

This tank is illegal by US standards and authorities have been passively looking the other way for years.

1. Orcas are social animals. Keeping her alone is like permanent solitary confinement. Think about what that would do to her mental health.

2. In the wild, orcas swim about 100 miles in a day.

She is not there to ‘educate the public’ or ‘teach kids about zoology’ as the staff will try to convince you. She is there because, to Seaworld, she is a sack of cash with flippers.
