House Arryn. New ASOIAF fanart for the Great Houses of Westeros. It`s a depiction before the beginning of the story, so John Arryn is included. Also I realized later that Arryns actually had more family members, but they were so in the background in the beginning of the story I completely forgot about them.

something about catelyn helping a girl who is falsely accused of kingslayer...later, that same girl promises to find catelyn's daughter. the one who is also falsely accused of kingslayer...and when you think about the fact that brienne is the one character who interprets sansa's situation better than anyone else:

"She wondered whether Sansa Stark was cold as well, wherever she might be. Lady Catelyn had said that Sansa was a gentle soul who loved lemon cakes, silken gowns, and songs of chivalry, yet the girl had seen her father's head lopped off and been forced to marry one of his killers afterward. If half the tales were true, the dwarf was the cruelest Lannister of all. If she did poison King Joffrey, the Imp surely forced her hand. She was alone and friendless at that court."

I think fans have been waiting for this, and to see Rand and who falls in behind him, it’s like “This is our story now.” Rafe Judkins: We really wanted the audience to connect to those [characters] and their connection to each other. By separating them for the whole season, it could really build to this moment when they finally come together where you’re just like, “All I want is you all together.” And that’s what you have to feel about those five the whole way through the series. So hopefully we got to achieve that in Season 2.
