reblog if you’ve had an online friendship that’s lasted more than 2 years
[image: tweet by ick_real: "who actually has an online friendship that has lasted more than 2 years?"]
put three f/f ships you like in the tags. doesnt matter how obscure or embarrassing the media, go for it. and no, your m/m ship doesnt count as women
it’s not weird to find fanfiction from 2021, or 2017, or 2014 that you’ve never read and actually taking your time to read it.
it’s not weird to love it and comment and leave kudos because the author will probably still see it someday and it will make them happy.
it’s not weird to like said author’s work so much that you want to go look for other fics from them.
it’s not weird to go through the authors profile and look for other fics from the ships you like (or maybe some that you’ll give a chance because you liked the author) and maybe bookmark them for later.
it’s not weird to read these other fics and like them too and comment on them because you actually like them and you want to let the author know.
it’s not weird to read fanfiction from 5, or 8, or 10 years ago and actually enjoy and engage with it because it’s perfectly normal to relate to something that’s less than a decade old!
let’s stop treating fanfiction like they’re instagram posts that stop being interesting in 24 hours! fanfiction is NOT social media, fanfiction is art!!! and art doesn’t get old in one day, one year, or even a decade!
read fanfiction! write fanfiction! comment on fanfiction! let’s not let fanculture die people!!!!!
An injured character in enough pain that moving even slightly is excruciating but they need to reach out to their companion for comfort, no matter what it costs them, because the physical assurance of touching their companion is worth the additional pain.
Reblog if you’re 30 or older
This is an experiment to see if there really are as few of us as people think. You can also use this to freak out your followers who think you’re 25 or something. Yay!
honestly? abandoned/on indefinite hiatus/very slow to update fics, even and especially AUs and longfics, are often some of my absolute favorites. and people who refuse to read them are missing out!
for one, stories don’t have to be finished to be enjoyable and worth reading. but also? an unfinished fic is a whole little universe that just keeps on existing in my head! their world stays alive for me in a way that doesn’t always happen with fics I binge read and finish, and i love it. i don’t know how their story ends, so it just keeps going! and even when those stories DO update and finish years later, they’ve been in my head for so long that they stick around like old friends.
so to any author with unfinished works: thank you SO much for sharing what you had without waiting to finish it first. you’re just giving me the gift of getting to spend more time with your story and your idea. if you do update again someday, i’ll be delighted to jump back in! but if you don’t, just know a little piece of your world still lives on in a beloved tiny terrarium in my brain. i promise i’m taking good care of it :)
i don’t normally ask this, but if this resonates with you please reblog it, so it can reach the authors who need to hear it <3
May I present you… these two idiots.👆

Stripped Pride
Author’s Note: Written as a charity commission for @chibinoyume. It was actually only supposed to be half as long, but then it got away from me a little bit, so the commission recipient gets an extra half a fic as a free bonus. The idea I was given was Kurt being forced to go undercover as a male stripper, which made me laugh so hard, because Kurt would HATE it. But then I wrote it and it actually came out a little more serious than I intended? It’s meant to be kinda funny, kinda cracky, and kinda romantic in spite of it all. Anyway, I hope she likes it. Camila, this one’s for you!

“I can’t do this.”
Kurt Weller, supposedly the Deputy Director of the FBI, turned his back to the mirror and stared over his shoulder in abject horror. The navy-blue hot pants cradled his ass cheeks, a pair of fluffy handcuffs dangling from the back of the shiny, PVC belt.
It was like a scene from a nightmare dredged up from the depths of his subconscious, one he would wake from feeling humiliated, but happy it had only been a dream. Only he wasn’t waking up.
“There’s no time to find a replacement agent. Just be happy they found you a costume where you can wear a shirt.” Over his comms, Patterson sounded amused, but seemed to be trying to hold it at bay, for his sake.
“I can’t wait to see this.” Rich Dotcom’s gleeful voice made Kurt grit his teeth. “Kurt Weller wearing a ‘sexy cop’ stripper outfit? This is the best day of my life.”
Kurt swallowed a snarl. “Rich, don’t talk to me. The only thing you’re here to do is identify the three women we need to arrest. You keep your eyes glued to the camera footage of the entrance, you tell Patterson when you see one of them, you keep your smartass comments to yourself…and as soon as this is over, you’re going straight back to prison. Understand?”

The River
Christmas Eve fic time… this one’s a gift for all my fellow Remi fans out there! It’s a bit AU, quite long and post s4e8. Again, it probably makes no sense that Christmas happens then but… I wanted to send Remi and Weller on a winter adventure so why not make it a holiday-ish fic too :P

The fight had been short but brutal. His wife was deadly even while dying herself. Or, more accurately, the terrorist inhabiting his wife’s body was both effective and relentless. But Weller had a surprise for her, a fitting one, considering she’d once planned something similar for him.
Weller’s body ached as much as his heart when he plunged the syringe into her neck and Remi fell into his arms. Even now, it was so hard not to think of her as Jane - to remember that she was his enemy.
When Patterson called, Weller was grinding his jaw, thinking about the experimental procedure they were about to put her brain through. He understood that it was dangerous, that he might lose Jane entirely in trying to get her back. But he had to try, no matter the risks involved. He knew how much Jane would hate Remi’s actions since commandeering her body again. And she had always been daring with her own life, even without a single memory in her head. She would definitely be in support of trying anything to regain control of her consciousness.
Surprisingly though, Patterson wasn’t calling about the procedure they were about to do on Jane’s brain. Instead, she told him a long-winded story of a series of loot boxes in a certain highly popular videogame that ended up leading her to the location of one of Roman’s caches, the one that was supposed to tell them where to find the cure.
The catch was, the cache was in a time-sensitive location and, of course, the only window was the next twenty-four hours. Patterson was going on about how the loot boxes had been programmed to only drop at a specified time, based around a militia’s scheduled attack, but Weller wasn’t listening anymore. He had all the information he needed and the answer he came up with was surprisingly clear.
“But Weller,” Patterson added. “This is a two-person mission and you’d have to leave immediately. So, you’d have to go with…”
Kurt glanced over his shoulder where Remi was lying unconscious, carefully strapped into the backseat of the SUV.
“Do you trust her?”

↳ JANE DOE & KURT WELLER -> BLINDSPOT | 1.01 “Woe Has Joined”
Jeller😍
SPOILERS FOR BLINDSPOT AHEAD
NOBODY TALK TO ME IM NOT OKAY WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?? Today i woke up at the crack ass of dawn, sat down, and decided to watch the last two episodes. I was then shot 57 times.
The THEATRICS of it all, just, owch….. ??? She starts her new life, coming out a bag in the new york times square, she bonds, she makes friends, she learns to accept her path, we literally get to LIVE alongside her, we learn the hell she went through before that and the ways she was treated by the corrupt system, only for her to just.. END UP RIGHT BACK WHERE SHE STARTED, FULL OF ZIP, IN A BAG IN TIMES SQUARE?? SOMEBODY KILL MEEE I FEEL SICKKK
This might just be me but im not a fan of the ending not just because we get emotionally attached and its always sad to see a good character die, but because her life had been a set tragic cacophony of events from birth, and i personally think she deserved to live and try again :(
Like here is nearly EVERYTHING she went through; Orphaned young because her parents were shot dead in the African apartheid in front of her and her brother, spent most of her childhood in that god forsaken orphanage where kids fought over who got to actually sleep in a bed because a member of the us government was training them to be child soldiers essentially, adopted into a home with a mother who only saw her and her brother as beings to train like mice, sought a means of order by joining the efforts in the war only for the very government she was serving to start project Orion which almost killed her in an unauthorized drone strike, was nearly dead when the doctors without borders organization found her only for the doctor that saved her life to die in yet another strike, realized the government she worked for was corrupt and her mother happily started project sandstorm because she had been grooming them to join the fight since the beginning which ended up killing a lot of civilians in multiple organized attacks by sandstorm all while jane believed they were doing the right thing because the reason was just, got zipped and woke up isolated and alone behind enemy lines that she wasnt even aware were considered enemies so she was constantly being plotted against by people who grew suspiscious of her life before being zipped even though she was a clean slate, gets put in a black site and tortured, is forced to kill the head director of the fbi, thought that she was a missing dead girl only to find out she isnt taylor shaw and that taylor shaw was killed and she's alice krueger, finds her ex that she doesnt remember and they get together but he ends up trying to kill her so she has to defend herself, mother finds her and tells her every single death was her fault and that she did this to herself, battles with guilt over her past self and whether she deserves the new life, learns she was sent to kurt and that was her plan so she tries to put distance between them because she feels bad, gets manipulated by her own therapist, mother gets put in a black site, gets married to kurt eventually and tries to live a happy life away from everything only for them to nearly be assassinated and tattooed again, brother was suddenly on her side and trying to take down the corrupt man who started their orphanage but falls in love with said mans daughter and flips on jane and tries to kill her, brother dies of ZIP poisoning and she learns she might die soon too and has to find every data file her brother left behind, gets shot and becomes remi again and then has to fight her own brain back for control to be administered the antidote, madeline takes over guy who started the orphanage's job at hci global so she's immediately involved with the psychopath, her and her team lose their job because madeline pins her own killings and everything the dabur zann did on them to take the heat off of her so they have to run away because theyre all wanted but her friend read dies in a drone strike and they have to hide in a bunker, her friend rich dotcom gets put in a black site, they all eventually get taken in because a member of the dabur zann ivy sands kidnaps them but they get freed, ivy escapes and plans to zip the entirety of new york, they find her zip bombs but jane gets zipped again, the antidote fails so she almost dies, they lose their jobs anyways because the new director of the fbi is a little bitch,
… Only for her to realize she knows the exact location of the bomb and its hidden in her memories so she has to confront to past to save the future and reject the antidote knowing she could very well die if not administered immediately only for her to die anyways right after stopping the bomb.
I like this show because it isn't predictable, the characters make dumb choices that cost them just like in real life, even if it can be frustrating. But thats the point! It gets you yelling at your screen "NO WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT NOO" because YOU know, but they don't. Even so, i feel like the ending was rushed, this series could have honestly gone forever in my opinion, its super good! I wish they didnt kill jane, ugh. She deserved a happy ending :(
Blindspot S1E09 gives me emotional whiplash because what do you mean the same episode that introduces chronically unserious Rich Dotcom is the same episode where David fucking gets murdered. What do you mean we have to see Patterson get her heart ripped out during the same fucking episode Kurt and Jane are asked for a threesome? Or at least to have an audience???
Best episode😍
She is gone but she used to be mine
Fall in love again
