My sweet 18 year old kitty was helped over to the other side today. Her kidney disease was advanced and she was no longer comfortable. Honestly, my heart is in pieces. She was my heart cat, and I’m grateful I was able to be here with her. There will never be another like her.

There aren’t Bad Dogs but there are breed-specific needs and temperament issues that owners need to be familiar with to successfully care for their dogs. The idea that “breed is irrelevant!!!” to a dog’s behavior is very foolish and leads to a lot of unhappy pet/owner combinations. We have spent thousands of years breeding dogs for specific traits and instincts and it’s our job to manage and accommodate those behaviors as responsibly as we can.

Lol we have a few in common! 

100,000,000 more Malinois. The best breed, in my clearly unbiased opinion. Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique. I love the NVBK lines, but also would like to try some flavors of KNPV. 

Every other variety of Belgian Shepherd, and also maybe a Dutch Shepherd. I am cheating by lumping them together but it’s the only way I can fit most of my top breeds on here. Malinois are still my favorite because I plan to continue pursuing bitesports, and because I’m basic. My plan is to collect one of every Belgian variety before I one day turn to dust. I just need to win the lottery to enable this. 

GSD. I would be pretty particular about what GSD, though. 

Australian Cattle Dog. I love those tough little shits. WHEN one day I hopefully have livestock, they will be so much fun to play with. 

Schipperke, to rule the roost. It sees like half the bitesports people I know with little dogs have a schipperke, because they are tenacity tied up in a miniature package. 

Alaskan Husky. (Probably, Huskies.) They are so fun to just DO THINGS WITH. Whether those things are hiking… or canicross… or scootering… or baby mushing… or just hanging out! I love the variety that crops up in those lines.

Dachshund or chiweenie, or a dachshund and terrier mix for ratting. I have a chiweenie rn and he’s a stubborn old man but wonderful.

Doberman, I like the look of the males more. A well bred mix would do to.

Smooth coated collie when (if) I have a homestead.

Golden retriever, or English cream retriever. A mix would be good too, to try and avoid that cancer. When I have the time, money and space this will probably be my next dog.

Chihuahua. I have one rn but like the chiweenie he’s getting old 😔. Next one will hopefully not be out of a bby

A xolo (Mexican hairless), standard size.

7. A new thing that has come to my attention is a “cowboy dog” which is ¾ corgi and ¼ blue heeler and as a corgi stan and lover of herding breeds I would love one of these

There are honestly so many other dog breeds I’d love to own, I’m just such a sucker for different breeds. Dogs like border collies, golden retrievers, and pomeranians I really like but I wouldn’t put them in with my dream dogs. If it’s a nihon ken breed, nordic spitz (or most spitzes anyways), or herding dog, I’d love one
