Trying out Unity’s new animator tool... oops
Hi
Trying out some ocean shaders!
Added a dynamic building edit menu! Rotation works, will work on the “move” and “sell” buttons next... probably tomorrow, feeling sleepy!
RigidBodies gone wrong!
Added some collision detection! Buildings turn red when you can’t place them, and will move back to “the inventory” if released over an invalid location.
Made a button to spawn buildings, and got height detection working too!
Working on something new! Wanted to try a grid-based game. Here’s some basic drag/drop with grid snapping that I managed to get working after a few hours!
Nothing fancy, but I learned a new trick today! Look at all those facets!
Happy Halloween! I was feeling festive and made a spooky stoop.
What’s really spooky is how dead my blog has been.
Pawn unlock animation!
Pawn death animation :(
The Pawn’s jump/falling animation, finally finished up from my last time working on it in May 2015... oops. I keep wanting to work on King’s Men in the evenings, but work seems to use up all my game dev juice (which is probably fair since they pay me and King’s Men does not). Still, I can’t believe I started this project more than 3 years ago! In terms of development on King’s Men, the past 2 years have been quite dry. Full-time employment is always going to be a necessity, so I have to learn to motivate myself after work if I want to see any progress!
A little late to the party, but King’s Men has now been upgraded to Unity 5!
Opening swing and back swing! These will be programmed to work in succession if timed right, or just the first swing will go through. The legs/hips are stationary to leave room for the running animation, or else if you swing while running, the Pawn’s legs will animate the counter step instead of running! Might need to add in a special standing-only animation that includes counter steps - but will anyone actually stand still while fighting? hmm... Also, 300 followers!!! You guys are the best <3
King’s Men has been on the backburner for way too long. (Since October!) Hoping to get back into it, even if it’s only a few hours a week. Currently, I’m resuming work on the Pawn’s animations!
Trying out some things! (Not related to King's Men but I thought it was pretty!)
