Regarding Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Actors & Basic Etiquette
I really don’t like having to join in on this whirlpool, but this has been really getting out of hand and I think fans of both the actors and the original ought to take note. This also applies to all actors and any future projects they have, regardless of whether it is based on an original work or not and regardless of what type of fan you are (original work, actor, director, the film in general etc.)

Not to sound as if I’m trying to police ppl or anything, but the way ppl are trying to follow or deliberately track them is disturbing. The actors are busy (and might be tired/stressed from work) and they are trying to take some time off to recharge, so going up to them and asking for such favours is in a way, disturbing their rest. And this type of active searching of the actor is just disturbing (for lack of a better word) esp if you replace the actor with someone else in you know. Think abt how the actors might feel? I get that celebs, fanservice and popularity need to work together in order to feed the celebs, but they are ppl too and they deserve normal treatment. (Ugh am I making sense?)
Yes, the actors may be pleasant and even actively ask after you and thank you for going everywhere for them, but that doesn’t mean the stalking is correct. It isn’t very polite either.
Ppl can disagree with me though. I’m just giving my 2 cents worth of thoughts.

On a more general note (so please my friends, this is not a personal attack on anyone), I think that showing support for actors is nice(and all other forms of celebs, including popular athletes), but sometimes one needs to step back a bit and consider what one intends to do and the consequences of it on the celeb. I personally feel that it would be good to just let things flow and if you’re lucky to bump into them, great, but if not, there is no need to force things.
And when meeting them, the focus shld be on them i.e. maybe ask ‘How’s your day’, wish them good luck and health, respect their personal space and privacy, double-check if they are truly ok with autographs and photographs etc. I’ve seen many things happen with ppl like Hanyu Yuzuru and some of the more passionate (?) skating fans who just press really close to his team and take cameras to film his every move and it just irks me because he needs to focus on his skating competition and he is also tired. Then the fans just squee online abt how gorgeous he is and I just–don’t they /see/ how what they’re doing is all abt themselves and not abt the one they are supporting?

I get that the actors and staff are nice, but please my friends, do NOT emulate and do something like this. It is harassment, stalking and not polite and respectful to do so. Please leave the crew in peace and let them focus on their work. This is the least we can do as fans, not go there and proactively disturb them.
If one person crosses the line, someone else thinks its okay too and follows suit. If one truly supports and loves the actors, think abt things from THEIR POV. Would you like to be bombarded with fan requests after a day at work? Would you like to suddenly see a face popping up everywhere you go? Do you feel discomforted? Would you like to be tapped suddenly on the shoulder from behind and a tsunami of fangirling and requests wash over you like a holy baptism? Would you? Would you?
Would you like to be in a foreign country which you are not familiar with and where very few people speak your language, and you are harrassed and followed by not one, but MULTIPLE people who you have never met? Where the only limited backup to fall back on are your travelling companions (staff) who also have their own things to tend to? Will you want to return to this country again? Do you enjoy this trip of yours?
People need to wake up. Showing support is NOT ABOUT YOU. It’s about the one you love.
“ I immediately contacted the girl who had met him and we started talking” ？Oh goodness, as if it isnt enough having one person stalking him, another actively contacts her about it, and the first one agrees to bring her along again.
“ I didnt want him to think i was stalking him when I wasnt” RIGHT GIRL YOU WERENT. Like you weren’t stalking him and following him around before this. The fact that you flew specifically over says as much.
The next day, the staff looked at them. ‘It was all silent’ Does it not occur to you that your presence is possibly unwanted?
Also that last sentence. I pray you never have the chance to do so. As if specifically flying over and indulging in active stalking online and in real life over the course of a weekend isn’t enough.
Even in the end, if the staff are nice and act as if they don’t mind, please don’t. Just don’t. Respect the actors and crew. Leave. Them. Alone.
I hope we as fans can work together to make our faves have easier lives without having to deal with things beyond their current workload. Nobody likes to do OT right? Neither do our faves, who are as human as us.
