Velrisa calling the five her friends makes me happy every time. She literally just met this weirdo on a boat, actively tried to get away from him, then decided to dutifully follow him around and save his life along with the lives of four other strange idiots and their even stranger goblin in the span of an hour. She went to the wharf to aid the dead with their passings and instead found a home with a group of broken and hurting people and is now devoted to their well being. And what has she gotten in return? A simp, a dad who says "you know, for once I actually agree with you" after she says anything, a brother who has spoken to her maybe twice, a man who sees her only for her mistakes and flaws and labels her as a necessity before a friend, and a horny goblin she doesn't want to sleep next to.

She is under appreciated and under loved and clearly very lonely as this is the group she's decided to throw her hat in with.

And she loves them! She told her uncle all about them with joy. She loves them so very much. She could have left at any moment but she hasn't and it doesn't look like she will.
