So the main reason I’m practicing drawing kids? These two kiddos here. I love them to death and it kills me when they say “Bri-Bri draw ME!” And I try and they, in their pure toddler honesty, say “...that’s not me.” 🤦🏻‍♀️ the best way to practice drawing is by drawing from life! It’s gonna help you so much more than any other way to draw. The trouble with kids is they don’t sit still enough for you to be able to study and draw them! 😂😂😂 That’s why pictures are great too.

Yeah, i haven’t posted in awhile, but I made a New Years resolution to post something art related every day. Even if it’s just a quote or a doodle. Today was just a practice day. I’m trying to study kids and I’ll tell you what, they are trickier to draw than you’d think... so this was the only study sketch that I liked enough to post haha. But I’ll get better. It takes practice and patience, and sometimes I’m not patient and sometimes I don’t practice but I’m trying my best and trying to do better. That’s what the new year is all about: trying again, and working harder than before. I hope we all do well on our New Years resolutions, and if I mess up this year I’m gonna do my best to get up and try again. Hope you do too 👍🏻

I just reread the entire Queen’s Thief series by @meganwhalenturner because the newest book Thick as Thieves came out (I loved it btw. These are probably my favorite books of all time. bless 🙏🏻) And so I had to draw my favorite Thief, Eugenides. (I’m thinking this pic is about the time of the second book...) Anyways he’s a snot-bucket but I love him to death.
