Something lurks in the shadows 🧟

Alex set out to explore the terrain and gather resources, moving through the forest with quiet confidence. The adventure felt peaceful… maybe a little too peaceful. The forest knew something she didn’t. Unbeknownst to her, she was being watched… and quietly followed through the shadows, step by step. 😱

I’ve never played Minecraft, nor have I ever had a LEGO set on that theme, but I’ve always found the characters interesting. I managed to grab a polybag set with a zombie and Alex (I didn’t even know until yesterday that she’s female, lol), so I took the chance to shoot a few photos in my front yard.

The Princess and the Frog 🐸

This guy heard that Princess Tiana kisses frogs to find her prince, so he dressed up in a frog costume hoping to steal a kiss from her. 😘

Yesterday I took that photo with the frog-headed guy for Star Wars Day, and along the way I got the idea to create something with a princess and a frog. The minifigure’s facial expression looks like he’s about to kiss someone. 😁

Happy Star Wars Day! ✨

I have not been very active lately, partly because of various obligations and partly because I have been spending more time reading books. Still, I had to take advantage of May 4th to post a Star Wars photo. I do not have many Star Wars figures aside from The Mandalorian, Grogu, and Boba Fett, so I came up with a fun little idea. Since Grogu loves playing with frogs, which also happen to be his favorite food, I decided to add a frog costume character into the scene.

I used an in-camera focus shift technique so both Grogu and the frog character would stay in focus, and then I separately photographed Mando standing in the background shouting “Noooo!” :)

Choo Choo Train 🚂 🚃

I built a blue train from a LEGO Classic set, and it immediately reminded me of the Train Suit Kid from LEGO Minifigures Series 25. He’s the perfect conductor for my new train, and the train tracks I already had fit in nicely as well. 🛤️

Time for a new adventure.

Happy Valentine's Day ❤️ 🏹

Love is in the air! 🥰

Essentially, this is a composite of multiple photos, as it was necessary to put Cupid on the support, and I also held the heart separately in three different positions. ❤️

Later, I realized that something was missing to make the image more interesting, so I added a squirrel and a cat. I like how it looks up at Cupid. 🐈

I spent about an hour and a half editing the image. I like the final result.

Spring is coming 🌞

The sun finally came out today after quite a long time. ☀️ It even warmed up a bit, though not enough to go without a jacket. The first little birds have appeared. 🐦 Spring is on its way. 🌸

Back to the Future: The Middle Ages

"Great Scott! This is not the good old Wild West! Run for it, Marty!" 😧

Yesterday I picked up the DeLorean time machine from Back to the Future, so I decided to use it for @brickcentral January challenge: Out of place. This set is interesting because Doc and Marty can be placed in different situations, traveling through time, space, and other dimensions. ⏳🌌

By the way, this Speed Champions set is far better than the LEGO Ideas set from 2013.

To wrap up January, here's one more photo for the jANTMANuary challenge. The box of a LEGO Classic set looks like an oversized brick, which makes it perfect for a shrunken Ant-Man.

Peek-a-boo! 🦁

I came across this little Funko POP! figure of Luna Lovegood and thought it would be nice to photograph her next to my Harry Potter book collection. You have to admit, she’s really cute. 🥰

I actually shot three photos with different exposures and then merged them into one final image. I placed an LED light between the books to make it look like Luna is magically emerging from the books.

Monkey business 🐵💼

I’ve been thinking about which situations to place the animal costume minifigures from Series 28 in. I recently picked up the full set because it’s a great series and I like all the figures.

While working on something job-related, the phrase “monkey business” came to mind, and that’s how the idea was born to turn the monkey costume character into a businessman. 🙈

On cleaning duty 🧹🤖

If there is one thing M-O hates most in the world, it is dirt. Wall-E does not care at all about making a mess wherever he goes, so M-O has to constantly follow behind him and clean up.

M-O is the third robot included in the Wall-E and Eve set. My niece and I assembled him two days ago, so I decided to use him for a photo. Since it is very cold outside, with temperatures below zero, I chose to shoot in the kitchen. For the dirt trail, I used coffee.

Ant-Man built himself a motorcycle out of LEGO Classic bricks and decided to take it for a test ride. It rolls better than he expected. Weeee!
