Rowena Appreciation Week - Favorite Episode I'm not good at expressing myself with words so bear with me please. Lol! It's hard to say what my favorite episode would be! I love everything Rowena is in. I have a lot of nostalgia about all of Season 10 because it's when we first met Rowena. Even though she was that season's 'big bad' I knew with every fiber of my being that she was actually good. People say they loved to hate her. I could not hate her EVER! When she first came drifting into the room in the episode 'Girls Girls Girls' I knew I didn't stand a chance! She had me wrapped around her little finger forever!  I was cheering for her the whole season! The love/hate relationship she had with Crowley, and yes, I did see love there no matter how much she manipulated him and tried to hide it.  She was proud that he had become the King of Hell (only on Supernatural would a mother be proud of that! LOL!) She was afraid for him, for what the Winchesters would do to him. Crowley loved her too or he wouldn't have released her from the dungeon. The day he threw her out and she cried walking down the street alone, I cried too. The latest episodes Regarding Dean, Funeralia and Family Feud were also some of my favorites. She finally showed parts of herself I always knew were there! The regret over the things she had done in her life... I think the biggest regret was abandoning her son Fergus and treating him badly. I think it bothered her so much she hid it with hostility toward him. I think she has gotten to like Sam and Dean (and Cas) as well but she covers it up with lots of sarcasm. When she met her grandson in Family Feud you could see right away how happy she was to see her family. Sending him back was hard for her but she knew it was the right thing to do. I could see how sad she was over it sitting alone on that bus bench. Telling Crowley she did it as revenge for killing Oscar was mostly just a way to release some of the pain. Her desperation to change the past with Fergus in Funeralia was heart-breaking to watch.  She not only felt she ruined his life but that her life is damned for eternity. When she sat talking to Sam and Dean at the end they made her realize that she could still change her fate, that is was all up to her. Really looking forward to more character development for Rowena in Season 14 Also, please go vote for Ruth Connell for Best Female Star at People’s Choice Awards. I can’t stand the thought of the pain Rowena went through being murdered by Lucifer, and the fear she lives with every day! I hope the removal of the binding spell helps her feel less fear and I really hope she kills Lucifer herself, really kills him, not just putting him in a cage! She needs to know that he will NEVER be able to hurt her again! Sam and Dean need to make Rowena their friend! She could help a lot with her powers! I actually believe her when she says she’s changed. She’s always still going to look after her own self interest first, but why shouldn’t she? There’s nothing inherently evil about that! We all look out for ourselves first, but I do think she’s willing to help the boys as long as they respect her needs too! If she needs help they need to be there for her too! It’s only fair! I hope this is a set up to seeing her working more with them and hopefully becoming a regular on the show soon!
Just a silly little artwork I made and gave to Ruth about a year and a half ago. I was going for a comic book style. I wasn’t sure if she’d like it but I was so happy when she showed it in her Facebook video! I’ve been very sick for so long and she always brings so much joy to my life! :-)
In season 10 Supernatural introduced what was in my opinion, the most fascinating character they've ever had...Rowena! I wanted to know more about the actress behind the character and gathered everything I could find and organized it on a website to share with the world. I wanted everyone to love and support this amazing woman! It has been two years since that happened and I want to thank the fans for supporting Ruth! We all agree we never see enough of her and she has kindly agreed to do this video interview with me to share with you!
