The Nutty Putty Cave was closed and sealed while one man was stuck inside. Cave explorer John Jones died with his body still trapped upside down. John embarked on a journey into Nutty Putty Cave in Utah County but mistakenly entered a narrow and dangerous area. During the rescue, John fell deeper into the cave and got stuck. After 29 hours, he was pronounced dead, and the cave was closed and sealed with his body inside.

Things I’ve learnt about lately that I cannot stop thinking about:
Aerated water- Found at places like water treatment plants. It’s when they pump oxygen bubbles into very large tanks of water. Which sounds totally normal, however pumping oxygen bubbles into water takes all its buoyancy away, so if you fall into one of these tanks you will sink like a rock all the way to the bottom and drown.
Dying rooms in China- A documentary I will not bring myself to watch. Takes place in an orphanage in China during the 90s when every household was only allowed one child. There were rooms where they would put very young children in chairs with buckets under them and leave them to starve and basically rot away. The part that really stays with me is the fact that the children were silent as they sat there slowly dying. They knew crying or not that no one was coming to save them, they were just tiny babies.
The journalist who was documenting a protest in Egypt- I don’t remember the exact context because I don’t even want to look the video up again. A young female reporter was in a crowd of men protesting some government atrocities, she was live on a very large news network in America trying to give these men a voice. Then the video cuts off, and she tells in an interview years later about what happened after the camera shut off. She was ripped away from her crew who was trying to hold on to her with everything they had. She tell the interviewer how they ripped her clothes off her body and brutally assaulted her over and over again.
I feel guilty living such a comfortable life
