Released on October 3rd 2017, Black Clover is an animation produced by Studio Pierrot also based on a manga holding the same title, that regroups fantasy, magic, comedy and action. It consists of 12 released episodes and itās still on-going. The anime is directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and aired on TV Tokyo.
Plot: The story takes a place in a universe where magic is the most important thing in the life of every human beings. One day, two boys, Asta and Yuno, were found by the priest at a church orphanage on the outskirts of the Clover Kingdom, the man took them in and raised them. Growing up, Asta has always been the super loud energetic boy born with no magical powers while Yuno was the quiet, mature boy disposing of some strong magical powers. One day, Yuno was on his way back home when a drunk guy tried to take the necklace he was found with as a baby from him. Hopefully Asta came in time and fought the guy till he gave up and let go of the necklace. At that day, Asta promised to become the Wizard king (in other versions the Magic Emperor), a title held by the strongest Magic Knight of the Clover Kingdom, to make people safer and happier, also prove the world that even an orphaned poor could join. Inspired by his friendās passion, hope and strength, Yuno promised to be the Wizard King and Astaās rival. At the age of 15, Yuno got his grimoire (magical item that bestow the user with the ability to use Magic) which was the legendary four-leaf clover grimoire that the Ā first Wizard King received. Unfortunately, Asta did not receive his grimoire but later, some thief tried to steal Yunoās since it was very special and precious, Asta fought him and tried to stop the thief thatās when his grimoire appeared and it was a strange one. A dark 5 leaf grimoire covered with dirt, with an anti-magic powers and anti-magic sword.
Characters: Asta, a 15-year-old super loud energetic boy with no magical powers but super physical strength due to daily work out, a member of the Black Bull. Ā Yuno, a 15-year-old quiet, mature boy with strong magical powers, he was loved by everyone back at the church and impressed all the captains of the squads then joined the strongest squad The Golden Dawn. Silva Noelle, a powerful royal girl who had to join the Black Bull even though sheās the sister of the Silver Eagle Squadās captain because sheās unable to control her powers. Yami Sukehiro, captain of the Black Bull Squad whoās a large man with a muscular build. Julius Nova Chrono, the Wizard King and the strongest magic knight. William Vangeance, the Golden Dawn squad leader and the closest strength to Wizard Kingās.
Animation: Studio Pierrot is well known for the animation that amazed people such as all the work of Tokyo Ghoul, Naruto, Bleach, Osomatsu-san and now Black Clover which is also a good one.
Opening: The music kind of brings out Astaās character, It is loud and energetic and so he is. It also fits the style of the anime, and the abilities.

Opinion: So, the animation looks fun and interesting somehow, I like the plot so far but itās clichĆ©. The main character competing with another character to reach some title or win something so nothing new or different. Also, it is very obvious that Astaās character is an inspiration from Naruto, the moment I saw him I couldnāt stop myself from seeing the common points. It's also similar on how Naruto wants to be Hokage while Asta trying to be the wizard king. You could say that this animation is a mix of different animations, no innovation which is a disappointment. Hopefully itās still on going so maybe the next episodes are going to be full of mind blowing events that are going to impress the disappointed audience.
