As well as countless of others from the AI generator community. Just talking about how "inaccessible art" is, I decided why not show how wrong these guys are while also helping anyone who actually wants to learn.

Here is the first one ART TEACHERS! There are plenty online and in places like youtube.

📺Here is my list:

Proko (Free, mostly teaches anatomy and how to draw people. But does have art talks and teaches the basics.)

Marc Brunet (Free but he does have other classes for a cheap price. Use to work for Blizzard and teaches you everything)

Aaron Rutten (free, tips about art, talks about art programs and the best products for digital art)

BoroCG (free, teaches a verity of art mediums from 3D modeling to digital painting. As well as some tips that can be used across styles)

Jesse J. Jones (free, talks about animating)

Jesus Conde (free, teaches digital painting and has classes in Spanish)

Drawbox (a suggested cheap online art school, made of a community of artist)

Skillshare (A cheap learning site that has art classes ranging from traditional to digital. As well as Animation and tutorials on art programs. All under one price, in the USA it's around $34 a month)

Human anatomy for artist (not a video or teacher but the site is full of awesome refs to practice and get better at anatomy)

Second part BOOKS, I have collected some books that have helped me and might help others.

📚Here is my list:

The "how to draw manga" series produced by Graphic-sha. These are for manga artist but they give great advice and information.

"Creating characters with personality" by Tom Bancroft. A great book that can help not just people who draw cartoons but also realistic ones. As it helps you with facial ques and how to make a character interesting.

"Albinus on anatomy" by Robert Beverly Hale and Terence Coyle. Great book to help someone learn basic anatomy.

"Artistic Anatomy" by Dr. Paul Richer and Robert Beverly Hale. A good book if you want to go further in-depth with anatomy.

"Directing the story" by Francis Glebas. A good book if you want to Story board or make comics.

"Animal Anatomy for Artists" by Eliot Goldfinger. A good book for if you want to draw animals or creatures.

"Constructive Anatomy: with almost 500 illustrations" by George B. Bridgman. A great book to help you block out shadows in your figures and see them in a more 3 diamantine way.

"Dynamic Anatomy: Revised and expand" by Burne Hogarth. A book that shows how to block out shapes and easily understand what you are looking out. When it comes to human subjects.

"An Atlas of animal anatomy for artist" by W. Ellenberger and H. Dittrich and H. Baum. This is another good one for people who want to draw animals or creatures.

Etherington Brothers, they make books and have a free blog with art tips.

📝As for Supplies, I recommend starting out cheap, buying Pencils and art paper at dollar tree or 5 below. If you want to go fancy Michaels is always a good place for traditional supplies. They also get in some good sales and discounts. For digital art, I recommend not starting with a screen art drawing tablet as they are usually more expensive.

For the Best art Tablet I recommend either Xp-pen, Bamboo or Huion. Some can range from about 40$ to the thousands.

💻As for art programs here is a list of Free to pay.

Clip Studio paint ( you can choose to pay once or sub and get updates. Galaxy, Windows, macOS, iPad, iPhone, Android, or Chromebook device. )

Procreate ( pay once for $9.99 usd, IPAD & IPHONE ONLY)

Blender (for 3D modules/sculpting, animation and more. Free)

PaintTool SAI (pay but has a 31 day free trail)

Krita (Free)

mypaint (free)

FireAlpaca (free)

Aseprite ($19.99 usd but has a free trail, for pixel art Windows & macOS)

Drawpile (free and for if you want to draw with others)

IbisPaint (free, phone app ONLY)

Medibang (free, IPAD, Android and PC)

NOTE: Some of these can work on almost any computer like Clip and Sai but others will require a bit stronger computer like Blender. Please check their sites for if your computer is compatible.

So do with this information as you will but as you can tell there are ways to learn how to become an artist, without breaking the bank. The only thing that might be stopping YOU from using any of these things, is YOU.

I have made time to learn to draw and many artist have too. Either in-between working two jobs or taking care of your family and a job or regular school and chores. YOU just have to take the time or use some time management, it really doesn't take long to practice for like an hour or less. YOU also don't have to do it every day, just once or three times a week is fine.

Covering your body, and barely able to hold in a surprised squeak you back into the clothes hanging behind you.

His eyes lit up with what you could only describe as violence. It was quick, and his eyes softened almost instantly. You wonder if you imagined it. You must have.

You don’t know why you were reacting like this to him, he’d been perfectly kind and understanding to you. His patience with you as you adjusted was reassuring.

It had been a month since you had woken up from the villain attack that took your memories. When you had woken up in the private room attached to machines and saw him sitting at your side, you couldn’t quite place him.

He looked like someone you’d gone to school with when you were younger, but you’d never talked to him. Never had any interactions with the grumpy blonde.

Why had he been there? Apparently he was your husband.

Husband.

You had a husband, and he was a pro hero. A war hero even.

“You’re getting into your head again Princess.” His fingers tapped your temple gently. Distracting you from your train of thought.

Why did your body tense whenever he was near? It always took a few minutes to force your muscles to relax around him.

“I just want to remember our story so badly Katsuki.” Saying his name always made you feel as if you were chewing tinfoil. Why was it so hard? “I know you you told me everything, but I can’t help but want to try and get my memory of it back. I feel like I am missing out on so much.”

“I don’t mind being your memory princess.” He said gently, gripping the back of your neck. His grip was always just a little too tight.

Your eyes looked past him to the photo album he had made for you. Photos from the both of you as children. His arm always possibility around you in almost every photo.

The photo album skipped years, too busy creating our family Bakugou had said. You’d barely had time to think of taking couple photos.

Something about that seemed wrong in your head. You couldn’t fully shake the feeling he was lying about something.

Bakugou turned to look where your gaze had moved too, looking annoyed that you’d looked away from him. Just like the look he’d had earlier it was gone from his phase in a second.

“We can take another trip down memory lane when we get home baby.”

So I wrote my Dabi fanfic with an idea I’ve had for an original story just to see if the story line even was worth putting out there and got amazing feedback.

So I’ve now finished part one of of my original story with the characters I originally pictured , and I put it on Inkitt while I finish the publishing process.

Do you have any tips for how to slow down time in a story?

How to slow down time

To slow down time in your story you need to use a mix of different writing ingredients: you need different descriptions that capture the reader in the moment as well as internal monologue and different sentence structures.

Detailed Descriptions:

Sensory Details: Use the five senses—sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch to describe what the character is seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling, and tasting in intricate detail.

Detailed Observations: Zoom in on small, often overlooked details. The sound a tea cup makes as it hits the ground, the way an expression on a character's face changes, the turning of heads as someone enters the room.

Slow Motion: Manipulate the time by describing how it feels like slow motion to the characters: "Time slowed down, and it felt as if the whole of humanity had decided to stop breathing for a moment."

Physical Reactions: A detailed description of the physical aspects of a scene. The movements a character makes, how their gaze turns, their breathing changes, their body begins to shake.

Psychological Aspects: Focus on the anxiety of a character looking at a clock that never seems to move, their nervousness seeping out of them

Internal Monologue:

Memories and Flashbacks: Add context by showing memories or flashbacks that relate to the situation.

Pondering: Let the character reflect on the situation, their feelings and their plan for the next steps. Let the reader explore the character's inner life.

Dialogue:

Reduced Dialogue: Dialogue brings a scene into real time. Use it thoughtfully and sparringly, with lots of inner thoughts and reactions in between.

Silence: Make use of silence between the characters which can be filled with more descriptions.

Language:

Smaller Steps: Write out each action taken, no matter how small, and focus on describing each step that happens.

Control Pacing: Use your sentence structure to create long descriptions that slow it down, and short, impactful ones to pick up the pace if needed for a moment.

I will be! It’s in its final edit process now, then I just have to wait for my author copy of the physical book so I can get it ready for print!

I am going to put out a call for ARC readers here first, I’ll choose a few people to read a digital copy of a preedited of the book about 2 weeks before the official release with priority given to the people who first started with my Dabi story.

Can’t make up my mind on when to write a check in on Dabi and Mouse for his birthday chapter, do I do it pre-escape, after he gets her back or when they are all healed?

Rereading my Bakugou story so I can finish and trying to make sense of my outline I had for the ending that I think I wrote in code 😂 luckily I mostly remember where I was going with it.

On that note I finished the first book of the rewrite of His into an original story and am now in the final stages of publishing it 😊 going to check in on Dabi and his Mouse for his birthday to celebrate too

For the writers struggling to rid themselves of the classic ‘said’. Some are repeated in different categories since they fit multiple ones (but those are counted once so it adds up to 100 new words).
