Diplo and Major Lazor apparently killed it at Columbiahalle in Berlin on Nov 14th, hitting the thousands of fans in the 7,800 square meter former US military gym with one sweaty bass/trap/dancefloor beat after another. Sadly though for the approximately 700 fans that came to see Diplo at his solo performance at Gretchen club 2 hours later, the trapstar didn’t knock us out as expected. Canadian opening act Ryan Hemsworth, on the other hand, played the hi-hat peppered, futurebass tracks that we needed - leaving us asking for more once the actual main act began.
Luckily for Diplo, and us, however, his newly-released 2 hour end of the year trap-epic brings back the tunes we want, need and love. The shit we’d twerk for (just kidding, who twerks these days anyway?) Generally loaded with bass heavy trap and some dirty hip-hop, his mix is also peppered with some more “mainstream” electro/house club bangers from the likes of Avicii, Hardwell, and Mat Zo, which guarantee that these 120 minutes are going to leave your ears ringing and your body numb. Great job Diplo, and here’s the mix for you guys:
