looking for game recommendations!
ideally, i want to find more (PLAYSTATION) games that have similar model styles to rdr1, re0/1 remake, and the cutscenes of devil may cry 2. kinda fitting that aesthetic?
as for the gameplay style and genre, i'm not picky. though i would ideally like to avoid turn-based games or games heavily dependent on first-person elements. i like seeing my little guy run about sue me.
if it helps, i'm currently looking at the mgs master collection!
👍👍👍👍👍
the new kpop film intro... reminded me of something.
WWHHAAAAATTT where did you guys come from
the evil within: unpacking ruvik's emotional baggage.
now i gotta deal with laura again...
is it just me who's noticed that a lot of the dialogue in chapter 2 are the unspoken questions to the answers in chapter 6? I had this interaction with dutch quite recently and it made me realise it's the penultimate question to the advice we all know and love.
"when the time comes, how do you think you'll act?" - chapter 2
"when the time comes, you gotta run and don't look back." - chapter 6
I've caught quite a few of these parallels now.
Rougue Spidey in Gotham headcanon:
Peter wouldn’t be a hero/ vigilante in Gotham he would be a rougue simply because the man loves a theme.
I imagine that if Peter ever ended up in Gotham he wouldn’t be like an evil evil rougue but defo a ant-hero
He would be the type to sell any information to anyone good or bad for the right amount of money ( because our boy is broke no matter what he’s doing )
I believe in this universe he would be a lot more spidery than he is in all other media we have of him ( other than fanfics) and would probs be like venomous and be able to control spiders and communicate with them
I especially believe that he would have a hatred for the league of spiders ( I think that’s what they’re called I’m new to batman stuff) but he wouldn’t want to kill them himself as he’s not evil evil and don’t kill
But I do believe he is cunning and smart enough to manipulate other rougues into doing this for him
I would love to see him talk to the joker and trick him into doing this by convincing him into believing that the league of spiders are moving their schtick from spiders to clowns and circuses making the joker made and manipulating him into masicuring the league of spiders
And when Batman finds out he goes to Spidey to ask what’s happened to the league of spiders ( because peters an informant to both good and bad guys) and Peter just kind of puts his hand out waiting until Batman puts a wad of cash in his hand and just casually states joker did it
There is more but I’ve forgotten so will probs post again when I remember it and if anyone could turn this idea into a fanfic and tag me I would be soooo greatful
promoting bros first post...... I got the privilege to hear about this during my lunch period
shoutout to john rq for horse watching while thinking about train robberies.

HELLO HI RDR2 COMMUNITY.. I AM IN NEEEEDD OF HELP!!!!!
if you've got a save on chapter 3, 4, or 6, hit up my dm's 🫰🫰 im in need of some specific clips in CAMP. ill explain what i need in the dms.
((fyi, need it for an edit idea i had scrounging in my head..))
you know a character I feel like I never really got? strauss. I feel like we shitted on his character far too quickly when you take the obvious WHY you'd hate him away. it has you thinking differently.
being a loan shark is more scummier than taking lives (imo). it decrees the poor and helpless and revokes them into a debt that not many people have managed to crawl out of, something that we see on a personal front the further we go on into the missions. they don't get to escape by mercy, no bullet from some of the quickest draws the west has left to spare.
still, strauss is loyal. was loyal. took it with him when he was in custody and dug it with him when he died. they probably caught him in during chapter 6 when the gang was at a low, people were searching, and admitting to knowing where they were in strauss's position could've been the only ticket out alive. did he take that? did he speak? not even a pipe.
i've also noticed quite a bit that in horseshoe overlook, strauss is seen drinking coffee and talking with hosea in the mornings. hosea, who clearly stays a distance from those he distrusts. isn't afraid to voice his opinions on the matters too. you'd think that our bashing on his character would have him more hated but that's far from the truth.
trelawnys job involved strauss too! he's a smart man. like it or not, strauss can play a part in helping you as the player to complete the games of poker. it is so damn interesting to me how trelawny, a man who isnt around as much, trusted someone like strauss to let him on if he could come across as deceiving. trelawnys a bit of a perfectionist if you ask me so strauss's presence stewed in my head for a bit.
arthur telling strauss to go and "get a job" also, to me, felt a lot like tough love. they can't keep living like this and (despite going against the business in the end) arthur sees the potential strauss has got.
overall, I apologise strauss.. . will be greeting him a lot more in camp nowadays.
Curse u Hamish Sinclair side mission for being in Chapter 6 because Rockstar KNEW Hosea would’ve been delighted to hear Arthur had made a friend outside of the gang THEN WENT FISHING WITH HIM💔 He would’ve been overjoyed that’s his boy out there making friends and you aren’t letting him see it
AHA HAMISH.. AHA.. hah.. aauuhhh ☹️☹️☹️
I've liked the thought that (despite being alienated and admiring hamish's way of life) arthur saw bits and pieces of hosea in hamish. maybe he thought to himself this was how hosea lived with bessie when they'd left the gang for a while? I don't doubt it; o'creaghs run is familiar to hosea and is hamish's home.
maybe arthur had thoughts about him and mary living that way too if they managed to make it work in the end.
and hosea... he's felt aware of the weight of the gangs end from horseshoe despite rotting himself for the maggots to fester on. if he knew arthur had someone like hamish to keep him company I don't doubt hosea would've probably rested a little easier.
exposing myself by saying I was one of those people who stopped playing red dead for a bit then came back
you wanna know why?
it wasn't because I was bored. no.
I gave arthur a clean face by accident and was appalled by the sight.
I wish I was lying.
still changing the look as i go because i am INDECISIVE AS HELL. but! here's the arthur getup for chapter 2
cutscene friendly outfit <:)
point is.. anyone got any coat ideas? i was originally more inclined to the trapper outfits (i plan on getting the bear fowlers tomorrow) for it but have no idea. any tips would actually be really appreciated!
if anyone's been paying attention then they'll know im currently focused on completing the challenges and receive the legend of the east bundle of joy.
master hunter 6 was a PAIN. ive paused that for now to do other challenges and enjoy the games vibe oncemore...
fun stuff :)
shoutout to my sister for pointing this out to me when I was showing her my photo collection
I did NOT notice bill being... bill.
Chelonia and it's parallel to the Van der Linde's.
(ps. this is a hot take.)
On the surface, Chelonian's and the Van der Linde gang are two completely different contrasting ideologies: Chelonia is a religion that is a "menace to all (our) liberty" because it goes against the usual Christianity and "Dutch's Boys" are "infamous killers". That's all in the headlines, the papers, the view most of society will interpretate these groups like.
They recruit people almost identically. Actively recruiting the young and feeble men and feeding mush into their brains to devotion. Your trust is in this formation and you'll die for this formation happily as it's expected of you. The greater of the two "evils", because turning your back against the pact is turning your back against freedom. Or, so is believed.
Both Helgerson and Dutch also preach similar ideologies.
Anders Helgerson is the messiah to Chelonia. He idolises the belief that this wisdom of the cult and the master will shine the dark out of mans heart, only if you listen in to this and this alone. That there is a land there for them, Chelonia, that you will only reach if you have faith.
Dutch is no different come to the games events. He preaches Evelyn Millers words, writes his own speeches he has no doubted-ly preached time and time again, always insisting on the same faith that's kept them stringed together. He also says that there's a land out there for them, Tahiti.
Jamie and Arthur are also a nice parallel to note too. Buried so head deep into this life that begun as being so open to these profound beliefs probably unimaginably good to prior lifestyles. Any outside "threat" attempting to convince them otherwise has them instinctively defending this belief, an unreliable narrative, but when they come face-to-face with the reality of their situations (i.e.: Dutch's revenge plan on Bronte contrasting "revenge is a fools game" & The initial shock Jamie goes through after pointing a gun at himself) doubt seeps through. This fog of false clarity they've both been under begins to dim.
I'll talk about their parallels at a later time, but it really outstands me how they both yearn for the same things. A better future. Mary, too.
