@brookerbracker
im sure thats normal
and it's always for random stuff, never stuff you'd actually want to filter out
This was on a post about how it's ignorant and privileged to wear headphones in public and I fear its already become a part of my vocabulary. Must everything harbor a moral failure.
Being mentally ill is literally a game of "why is my life so weird? Why is everything such a nightmare?" And then one day you realize "oh wait"
Y'know the shaming of the unemployed is kind of funny to me because all my employed mates are fucking suicidally depressed, meanwhile I'm just writing novels, reading manga and jerking off all day.
Legit. Feels like I get to kinda watch the world burn with an income that's both inherently sustainable and adjusted for inflation while everybody else gets paid less and less and works more and more and never gets to retire purely for being mentally ill like no I love this sorry I'm not guilty for escaping the rat race on a technicality
Its weird how you get more disabled over time. Like, most people i know with a disability actually have like eight disabilities and a lot of them slowed up later as a result of compensating for the earlier ones. This brought to you by me filling out a demographics form and wondering when i got to the point of checking that many damn boxes
“You get used to it” true but misleading because someday your back problems are gonna inexplicably cause stomach problems. And then you get used to the stomach problems but your thumbs start hurting because you had to do so much work on your phone lying in weird positions while waiting for the stomach problems to go away. And there are way more distractions on your phone too so while you always had adhd this just makes it more annoying/prevalent-
Anyway hi disabled people with one million conditions i love you and i hope youre having a good day with minimal pain/inconvenience
Everybody thought I was gonna be super successful like my dad when I was in high school, all because I did math/chemistry for fun. Never mind the fact I was psychotic and thought I was Rick Sanchez, nah they might make a career out of their delusions. Fun fact: nope I am now too disabled to work due to bipolar that went ignored because that's how I presented.
Like even as a sober addict who has a complicated relationship to a bunch of common substances, I would still much much rather surround myself with people who are chill about drugs than the people who think doing drugs is inherently wrong and a sign of moral failure
And I hate how people will act like only stuff like heroin and cocaine actually count as drugs. Weed is a drug, nicotine is a drug, alcohol is a drug! Fucking caffeine is a drug! No I'm not saying you'll face the stigma of addiction for drinking too much coffee, but you are in fact ingesting an addictive substance that alters your mental and physical state just like most people do at some point whether it's a daily or occasional occurrence. Drug use is a normal part of the human experience in so many ways. It's not some atypical misstep only a few morally broken people succumb to it's been a consistent part of our history from the fucking start
I hate the idea that you need dysphoria to be trans. Being trans isn't about being uncomfortable with your body, that for many is a part of the experience but that's not all it is and that doesn't define it.
Gender Dysphoria is a diagnosis; being trans existed way before somebody defined it as a set of diagnostic criteria.
Being chronically ill is like
“It’s fine”
“It’s fine”
“It’s fine”
*complete mental breakdown because you can’t do this anymore*
“It’s fine”
(I bring a sort of “Everyone has inherent worth regardless of their productivity” Vibe to every conversation that ableists don’t really seem to like)
“I never let my chronic illness stop me from doing things!”
That’s nice, I do. Not listening to my body is part of what got me this bad. Sometimes you have to balance taking care of yourself and achieving your ultimate goals.

hey fun fact, disabled people with bad relationships with their parents often don't get to leave those relationships.
when you are reliant on your parents for care, the amount you can do to stop them from treating you like shit, yelling at you for asking them for help etc. is very minimal.
even if you have never had a good relationship with them, if they are extremely abusive, in this world where disabled people are left to fend for themselves in fucked situations, we often don't get to leave the relationships that harm us and many of the community die because of that.
we don't get to leave our abusers because we rely on them for care and they hold that above us.
Finally going back on dating apps because fuck staying in this house
the dark side of pretty privilege is being lusted over not loved. people just wanna say they experienced you
