More old people enjoying themselves!!! 😱
Oh the horror. Everyone knows that after 30, all fun is excised from your life by the Adult Transmogrification, but these people somehow escaped! Feel free to be inspired 😁
Also, to all young ageist little shits on Tumblr: fuck you 🖕
Be kind to humans abused and exploited by capitalism
I sent in my ballot. Voted for that bastard Joe. Made me sick but Trump is...well... Trump. Not hopeful that Biden will do anything good but maybe we can fight things past him. I wish we had an actual progressive on the ballot. So sick of just bad choices. I will criticize Joe until he earns my respect.
you really don’t have to feel bad for being forced to vote for a candidate that ends up on the ballot. like voting is literally the most base level act you can do politically. your vote is not the reason why the candidate does bad shit. they will do bad shit with or without your vote. it’s about what you do and advocate for outside of the electoral system.
"feeling bad" about voting/not voting is a way to center voting as the primary way of doing politics.
It's some pen marks on a piece of paper, it's clicking buttons & standing in lines.
Your vote is one among millions of individuals acting individually. What's important is to get those millions of individuals acting together.
Encounter: Bob the Australian Necromancer
[ID: A short video of a man in a plague doctor outfit complete with bird like mask greets the camera “G’day I’m Bob the Necromancer and today we’re doing an unboxing” The camera pans down and we see Bob plunge a shovel into the ground before a headstone. The camera cuts out end ID]
If hell exists then according to this post I’m absolutely going there because I laughed for about 10 minutes.
PSA this is very important please spread this around!
My old lady driving advice is always just to check. You should never EVER assume you know what another car is doing. Just take a sec to check that it’s clear before you pull out. Stop signs, driveways, parking spots, lights, lanes, everything.
This post isn’t like bad or anything but I think it’s really funny to post just like basic driving advice like it’s a life hack
Seconded—always look both ways and never assume other drivers are paying attention. Especially if you’re coming up on a four way intersection when the light has just changed bc ppl run through those fuckers all the time.
It’s funnier when you find out that’s his dad.
that fact made this even better
That actually makes it 100000000% better bc it means it’s not some creepy rando getting up in his face.
Me seeing the video without any context: that’s rather unfortunate that even men reporters are getting harassed now when we want it to be no one getting harassed when will the public learn
Me seeing the context: oh that little shit loves his dad and just wanted to mess with him at work this is certified cute now
Context makes me so happy

Apologies if this offends any capitalist snowflakes reading this, but the cap described here should extend to $999k as well. Almost half of the world's wealth is controlled by millionaires.
Upper-hundreds-of-thousands-of-dollars is already upper class in a quantitative sense anyway (insofar as you're living more comfortably than the overwhelming majority of humanity past and present, not necessarily in the Marxian "is-a-capital-owner" sense). We should democratize the economy (both the workplaces and the general management of economic plans) and arrange things so that the poorest person is living well and the richest person is performing important labor that is necessary/grueling. Higher income in this transitional stage would be allocated to those who contribute more essential labor (including the presently undervalued domestic work and service industries), not to those select few who happen to own capital and land.
We really do not have the time to coddle greedy fuckers who want to cling to their Smaugian hoards while tearing up the earth in pursuit of profit. Climate catastrophes will upend business-as-usual in the coming decades and we'll be put at a crossroads: either equalize access to and management of resources, or continue to careen off the existential cliff with jackasses like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos at the wheel.
Bernie was all about taxing the billionaires. Well, we say that doesn't go far enough. Any just transition out of the looming crises will have to contend with that fact.
And for those curious, the billionaires would also add a sizable amount to the "total hoarded wealth around the globe" pile, but not nearly as much as the millionaires.
If these two articles are to be believed, the billionaire hoard is only about 6% of the total value of the millionaire hoard. To be like Bernie/socdems and turn your gaze at primarily billionaires -- to the detriment of millionaires -- is to fall prey to a classic case of sleight-of-hand misdirection. Even if you taxed the billionaires and replaced their b with an m, you'd still have most of the same capitalist problems associated with political corruption and vast resource inequity. Getting rid of the billionaire fortunes is not enough -- especially with the hoard comparisons in mind, we need to also turn our attentions to the millionaires.
