Oh my god I could not agree more. I’ve never met a more insufferable and intolerable fanbase than straight cis man black templar fans based around twit, it’s genuinely impressive how deep the hate goes with them🥀🥀

And it’s so embarrassing too like, I love that chapter a lot! I’m intrigued by their story and rituals and their fanbase is just cartoonishly ridiculous.

Obviously I’m not going to stop liking them but it’s so weird how the multifaceted Templars are debased to being pure murderhobos with little interest in anything else beyond purging. Yes, they’re zealots, and they can be VERY harsh/strict with their doctrine but there’s so much more

Not to mention the apparent and PAINFUL amount of facists who are obsessed with the black templars for their zealotry, acting like they have no other qualities except “purge” “burn” and “kill”. It’s upsetting to see people being totally allergic to fun and whimsy and enjoying the hobby and the books.

It’s nice to know there is still a GOOD community around the black templars though despite the shitty folks on twitter
