beckham was raised in hallow falls with his two siblings sadie and logan. he was the oldest child to jason and carrie teague.
his childhood was far from perfect. his father was a drunk and his mother too timid to leave.
beckham and his siblings were always running the streets and playing tricks on hallow falls residents. tricks turned worse as they got older. instead of just running around playing pranks they began to work for orion and do his dirty work. three of a kind doing any deed the man needed done (for a price of course).
this was always easiest for beckham. it was easier than school.. and eventually he dropped out. he had a tenth grade education and made his way through life doing what orion needed to make a quick buck. simple enough.
but, things at home weren’t as good as things going on outside of those four walls. his father was a terror and absolute drunk and the scum of the earth if beckham had any say. beckham stood up for his mother and his siblings taking the blame and the punishment for them. he couldn’t bare to let them get hurt.
there was nothing that man could do to hurt beckham more than hurting his mother or siblings.
one day it came to a boiling point. everything completely festered and beckham learned of his powers. his emotions boiled over to a new extreme and he blacked out. when he came to his mother and sister were calming him down and his father was in the corner injured. their home destroyed and he knew exactly what he had done.
in lived a demon... one that he had never known until now and one that was awakened by those emotions boiling over. to keep him quiet beckham did everything he could to drown him out. drinking, drugs, and keeping calm the best he could. his mother begged him to never let the monster out again. and he was going to do right by her even if it meant suppressing every feeling he had.
at nineteen beckham fell for a woman just a couple years older than him. he had never known love before but she made him feel something different. maybe it was the drugs and promises to give him a better life but he fell hard and fast. until one day she was running away from hallow falls and broke his heart. his emotions almost got the best of him again that day.. so he vowed never to fall in love again.
he became cold and distant as he got older. while still keeping his smart tongue and charming ways he chose to distance himself from his parents. eventually she talked the three into moving away. going to elias. getting out of hallow falls and away from their father. beckham didn’t argue.. he always did as his mother asked. but, his siblings weren’t so happy.

currently beckham is going through it. he’s completely losing sight of himself as the demon inside grows stronger and stronger each day.
as we know his son was just born and he’s completely broken off any relationship he had with benjamin or reagan in fear that he may turn into the monster he was once as a teen.
his relationships outside of that are also failing he has toyed around with so many people no one is really willing to help him and he feels lonesome.
his main coping mechanism has been to drink the pain away. drowning out the voice in his head with booze and pills or until he can pass out. because lately sleep has been hard to find.
how soon until everything just goes boom? and the bomb inside of him explodes.

i would like beckham to get control of his powers but we’ll see how long that takes.
i also think it would be nice for him to form some enemies as well and some loyal followers in his shady side hustles in the near future.
as far as long distance he just wants a normal life but we know that won’t really happen for him. after benjamin, comes claire and then he goes to jail but he finally gets things right with haven and they have two other daughters. he still does work that isn’t exactly the best but he’s learning to be a family man. actually trying to be what his own father was not.

unlikely friends // someone who you really would not expect beckham to be friends with. someone who is quite literally the opposite of the man. thinking possibly the biggest brightest nicest person we can find and then they somehow became friends.
