I saw a post where you were confused on why transmen would be less effected on misogyny and I don't know if you'll entertain my point but I'll raise it anyway
The only part of womanhood a completely untransitioned trans man identifies with is having boobs and not having a dick. That's it.
Misogyny, of course, attacks women in ways extending far beyond their genital characteristics. Misogynists deride women's speech patterns, women's clothing, women's social expieriences, hobbies and jobs that have been traditionally done by women. To speak broadly, misogyny attacks women-specific culture.
Transmen as a group are alientated from this culture, at least from our internal perspectives. We don't have the expiernces of finding community in women only social situations/circles, in feminine clothing or makeup, or other similar things. So when misogynists attack women for their clothing, socilization, or whatever else, it doesn't really affect transmen.
For an example: say someone saids that dresses make someone look submissive and weak and that's why their women's clothing. This would rightfully make a lot of women uncomfortable and upset, because a lot of women enjoy wearing dresses. But a transman probably would associate dresses will feeling weak, unable to stand up for oneself, and embarrassing, so that comment wouldn't be very impactful. It might even feel vindicating.
A lot of modern trans spaces like to pretend women and men aren't different at all and this is why trans people are possible, so I get why this stuff can be annoying and confusing. Just wanted to share my two cents though.
Misogyny is hatred of female people, not hatred of femininity (even if thatâs where menâs hatred of femininity in other men stems from)
The hatred of female âcultureâ stems from hatred of the female body, of female people; it did not come from nowhere. Itâs like saying racism is solely hatred of black culture and it has nothing to do with black people themselves, or that black people who are âculturallyâ white donât suffer racism.
Disliking or disassociating oneself from, what is for women, their own oppression(ie femininity) is a natural response. It does not mean that person is not part of their biological group or that they donât suffer the oppression that group suffers, esp since itâs on the basis of said biology
