There was something about this street/alley behind the Sacré Coeur with the seemingly endless stairs down the hill/mountain side. Back to Paris. This time we are exploring the back streets and alleyways behind the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur, Montmartre, Paris. I spent several hours exploring the neighborhood while waiting for sunset hour over Paris. I loved how quaint and vibrant these streets were. You would hardly guess as you find your way up the cathedral steps. Moderne Burger, Kistsilano, Vancouver. I've been a few places, eaten a few places, but I have yet to find a Hamburger this good! This is arguably the best hamburger there is. It is a worthy homage to the American Hamburger. Every piece of it, reinvented, rethought and improved upon to create a truly authentic gastronomic experience. Vancouver is an amazing city with plenty of reasons to visit, however if this burger was all there was in Vancouver, I would fly out for it. Rombauer Vineyards (@rombauervino). Wandering along the Silverado Trail. I stopped through this winery perched in the woods atop a little hill. It offered great views, a quaint ambience and well made wines by the glass. I decided to stop here for a little lunch snack as I worked my way back home. The Andromeda galaxy is massive. Larger than our own milky way and about 2 million lightyears away. Even at that distance it is still visible to the naked eye on a sufficiently dark, clear night and appears larger than the moon. This was the first time I saw it and my first attempt at photographing it. Last night was the last new moon of the summer so I decided to go somewhere I could see the stars. This time it's was Hell Hole Reservoir. Yikes! Just getting there was a bit ridiculous in itself. But the views were just what I was hoping for. Other than a little haze from wispy clouds now and the light pollution from the Tahoe basin (yes that's what you see on the horizon in the background) it was a great night for star gazing.
