anyways, im only here to clear up some stuff. 

i forgot to mention a few things some people arent over, and im sorry about literally everything. i wrote up the apology and left out some important points to which im going to say sorry to. i made a mistake with the codes and idk how else to explain so im sorry to all the owners. from now on ill just be coding my own stuff (for myself) and not going to bother with anyone elses’s codes. the name thing was purely coincidence. its an actual name in korean, but since i dont listen to the artist i didnt know it was a ship. i admit that i like korean culture/music but in no way did i mean the ship. again, if i forgot anything, my answer is that im sincerely sorry and i will try my best never to repeat it.

also uhh starting a clean slate means a: asking mods to get my accounts removed and b: starting from scratch, not pretending to be a noob. and thats what i did/doing. it would be lying… and thats the whole reason behind this situation so im kind of confused @ what some people are saying?? anyways, id like to keep my aesthetic and pronouns thank you very much. i already know the game and everyone knows its me so.. im not gonna lie about anything. plus, i didnt say i was going to quit entirely, i said i would be starting over. two different things.

When: This has been going on for a while, so it’s impossible to pinpoint where exactly it started.

Explain: 

Elanyx, formerly known as Silverwolv, has been scamming users out of dragons with special IDs and reselling them for extreme profits. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, but the method that they use is very scummy and shady.

All strikes are going to be placed moving forward. Founder Benzyne’s strikes are grandfathered in, as are everyone else’s, because the rule was not in place when they committed them.

If a new law was passed, you wouldn’t get arrested for doing something wrong before it was illegal.

This is extremely irresponsible and no way to run a group. If anything, the worst offender of these bad faith trades is Benzyne, and she has indeed admitted what she’s done is wrong and that she doesn’t care, either. This is despicable, and does nothing to help SIDREP’s piss poor image. In fact, all it says to the common person is “yeah we know our leader treats people like shit, but we’re only mad about these types of trades now, so it doesn’t matter! :)” You’re protecting scammers, and that’s disgusting.

Let us not forget Benzyne’s original rule back before her account was banned. She’s demonstrated that even after the removal of this “bonus” tip on the new thread, she continues to follow it in order to scam and flip IDs right under people’s noses…and you’re just choosing to irresponsibly ignore it.

Many are aware now that she’s a scammer, and those same people are avoiding her and SIDREP like the plague as a result. As long as Benzyne heads the group, it will have a bad name to it. Simple as that.

What makes you think I haven’t already? Regardless, keeping an eye does nothing when the people supposed to be “keeping an eye” are scammers themselves. It also doesn’t do anything to protect innocent players from future trades, since I’ve been watching your spreadsheet this entire time and the only thing you’ve done was give user Elanyx a strike…which is useless since the username is now Benzyne. Still trying to squirm out of any resemblance of trouble, no big surprise.

Because we can’t tell who has a history of scamming, the safest thing anyone can do is assume they all have hidden strikes.

I was a former member of the Special ID Collectors Group SIDREP. I left due to a lack of interest with IDs, but I do still check in on occasion. I’ve noticed as of recent some people with lairs I use for inspiration have been receiving profile comments similar to the following from current SIDREP members : ‘Hey is the primary/secondary/tertiary breed gender for sale?’ The members hide the fact that they are only purchasing for the ID, and if they do manage to purchase the dragons they then auction or resell for several times the original price. Looking into it I found out about ‘Bad-Faith Trading’ which is something that looks like it can possible result in account strikes and bans, I checked out the official tumblr for the group and one of the anonymous asks was very similar to my current concerns, to which the runner of the tumblr blog answered with the following : ‘We do not lie, we simply omit the information that the dragon has a special ID in order to achieve a lower price.’ This nearly happened to a close friend of mine and I’d like to know what other non-ID oriented players think on this, as it’s not always in the seller’s job description to know what exactly a person’s intent for purchase is; frankly, lying to someone’s face isn’t nice either //

We do not lie, we simply omit the information that the dragon has a special ID in order to achieve a lower price. Here at SIDREP, we believe that it is the buyer’s responsibility to notice and take advantage of any characteristics of the dragon that may make it sell for more.

If someone hypothetically hatched a first-generation Primal and didn’t notice the eye type when selling it (yes, it’s highly unlikely to happen, but this is a thought experiment) would it be the buyer’s fault for buying it at the price its owner pegged it at?

Honestly, this just makes me sad. This kid is gonna look back in a few years and cringe so hard. I don’t think there’s any point trying to have a reasonable discussion about it any more, because the harder we insist it’s fucked up, the edgier and more cool they’ll feel, as if they’re rebelling from the societies rules or something.
