#BuckyNat Week: 616 Monday
The newest addition to The Buckyyyyy! Book is this absolutely adorable pancake watercolour by the wonderful Nas at @aredblush . It’s so, so cute & was inspired by the “fine… but NO pancake houses” panel from Winter Soldier #1….
(Winter Soldier #1 - Brubaker/Guice/Breitweiser)
i love when bucky’s being silly and natasha’s just looks at him like “this is where i have laid my affections smh” but she loves him so much and bucky just walks around with a *u* face all day when he’s around nat like he cant even believe how lucky he is :’)))
There was a saying among the Red Room. That the one time the Black Widow failed, the Winter Soldier went after her. They would whisper to each other ‘if Fall ends, Winter is coming’.
There are few personal things Natasha possesses. There is the arrow necklace, a token to remind her of Clint. There is a burner phone she can’t bring herself to throw away because it connects her to Steve. The black belt with the red hourglass, a practical gift from Maria. The first gun Fury had permitted her.
The Black Widow is not sentimental, can’t allow herself to be. Yet… but yet… no matter what cover she takes, she insists on keeping her hair a shade of red. A dangerous habit for a spy to keep, and one she can’t always adhere to, but. Whenever it is possible, her hair is red.
Like autumn.
Like fall.
So that Winter may find her.
Calling All BuckyNat Fans!!!
Okay guys, many of you have probably seen that starting in December, there is going to be a new miniseries staring Bucky and Clint as they try to find out if Natasha really died in Secret Empire.
For those of you who didn’t keep up with Secret Empire, you can read more about what happened here: A Not-So-Brief History of BuckyNat (Post-Widow Hunt). The tl;dr version is during Secret Empire, thinking that Bucky had been murdered by Zemo & Stevil, Natasha reached out for something familiar and entered into a causal relationship with Clint while they were leading the resistance to Hydra.
So with that background in mind, we BuckyNat fans need to mobilize! We need to let Marvel know that we’re not going to pretend that Black Widow #10 didn’t happen! BuckyNat fans aren’t going fade away, and we’re not going to let Marvel pretend that one of their greatest and most equal superhero romances didn’t happen and was about to get back together before their stupid event got in the way!
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
Check out the writer’s Twitter page and maybe ask him some BuckyNat questions about the series. Or maybe let him know how much you love BuckyNat/how much BuckyNat means to you and you’re looking forward to the miniseries. Whatever you do, be sure to be polite and respectful.
Write an email to Marvel and let them know you love BuckyNat and how much you want to see them back together in the comic books! If you bought the Black Widow or Thunderbolts series, be sure to include that in your email. Marvel needs to know that BuckyNat fans buy and read the comics. Send your emails to [email protected] and address your subject line to the Tales of Suspense team. Your email can be as short or as long as you want it to be, I just ask that everyone be polite.
Thank you so much!
I’m 100% positive that someone has written a meta way more interesting and thought provoking then my observations, and it’s been quite a while since I’ve read this comic. But I saw something today that compelled me to briefly post my appreciation for this scene in Name Of The Rose (best comic ever btw) where we really get a bit of insight into the depth of Natasha and Bucky’s relationship in this scene.
I remember viewing the scenario of them running into eachother as Natasha feeling vulnerable, slowly being consumed cornered by the darkness of her past and of who she is, and then she ,quite literally, turns around to find that Bucky is already there with her. He’s been to that dark place himself and he gets her, understands her inside and out. Natasha is determined as always to handle things on her own. Bucky knows this, knows her and respects her choices while at the same time finds her and offers his hand, to let her know that she has someone that cares about her. He lets her know she doesn’t have to face it alone. And the way he expresses this to her is so genuine and open. I feel most readers can gather the level of maturity and equality they share just from this brief scene of dialogue.
Honestly it’s so great to be in love with a couple that has equal footing in their understanding of eachother. We’d be blessed to have it portrayed on the big screen someday ❤️❤️Seb &Scarlett would do amazing !!
Anyways if I don’t see Bucky and Nat fighting together in IW and them being completely in sync and doing something like this:
I’m suing Marvel
