i speak specifically to this because i very readily block accounts and have been doing so since i was a minor online. i really need people to understand that it is !!!WEIRD!!! to make a huge deal out of something this miniscule. this made SO MUCH WORSE if you try to get other people to be involved. please do NOT make someone else reach out to strangers who have blocked you on your behalf. i know the bog standard experience is someone makes an alt account to reach out yadda yadda yadda, but!!!!! i had ADULTS reaching out to me (WHEN I WAS A CHILD!!!!!) telling me it was "upsetting" i blocked their friend......... i'm sorry???????? a stranger on the internet blocking you--someone you would NOT have acknowledged otherwise, as they are BLIP in the VAST SWELL OF INFORMATION ONLINE--is not something that should induce such strong emotions.

every other angle of this is something to be introspective of as well. ask yourself if it's hard to block people!! ask yourself if you get upset on the behalf of peers/friends/lovers/whatever when they get blocked!! ask yourself what your relationship to strangers is!! ask yourself if that hurts or helps you!! ask yourself if that bleeds into established relationships!! talk to you!! or whatever that looks like for introspection, try it!!
