“Ah- shit!”
The fingers of Yang’s left arm curl into a tight fist, the blonde squeezing her eyes closed and hissing through gritted teeth. The phantom pains were hard to get used to, the frequent reminder of her own loss. It wasn’t exactly what she wanted to be thinking about at the market, looking for last minute supplies before boarding the Argus Limited, but here she was.
“Sorry- it happens, sometimes.” She sheepishly explains, pulling her sleeve down more and curling the offending limb in on herself, letting her focus zero in on finding what they had been looking for. What had they been looking for again? She couldn’t remember, not with the shooting pain that had yet to even fade that was quickly climbing up and over her shoulder.
Training with her father had certainly helped. She had gotten used to fighting with it, with using it as a proper arm and not just some flimsy excuse for the real thing. But the fact of the matter was that it wasn’t real, her body was still trying to understand what had happened, and while this helped, it hadn’t completely adjusted yet. She hadn’t adjusted, yet.
The blonde worries her bottom lip between her teeth, biting down until blood is drawn just to try and keep her mind off of it and her gaze away from Ray, who she was certain was worried at the moment.
