WE FINALLY GOT AN ADHD DIAGNOSIS
We have been waiting literal years for the diagnosis and we finally have it!!!
There's still yet another waiting list for meds, which is a bit annoying but cause the diagnosis was delayed so many times the person assessing us has said she'll try and get us moved up the list
Ngl I just hope we can get some sort of help before June cause we have an a level then and I do want to be able to revise for that

thinking about how zuko’s agni kai and zuko’s banishment were punishments for separate offenses. ozai challenged him to the agni kai in response for zuko speaking up in the war room and for the disrespect ozai claimed he displayed. the subsequent banishment was zuko’s punishment for cowardice in refusing to fight his father during the agni kai.
and throughout all three books but especially in book one, we see zuko throwing himself into disaster after disaster, always rushing headlong into dangerous situations that could kill him, and iroh chastises him for never thinking things through, but why would he? in zuko’s mind, he’s exiled for being a coward. and he equates being brave with risking his life. of course he thinks that the best solution for any problem is to throw his own life at it. his life has no value to him because it had no value to his father.
we are even shown the hierarchy of what zuko considers to be an acceptable loss in the course of his hunt for the avatar in book one. capturing the avatar isn’t worth iroh’s life in “midwinter solstice. ” capturing the avatar isn’t worth risking the lives of his crew in “the storm.” but every time he’s considering risking his own life in order to capture aang, zuko chooses to chase the avatar every time. his life is fair game. there is literally no other alternative for him, because even beyond losing his chance to return to the fire nation and regaining ozai’s favor, giving up makes him the coward his father called him.
every time zuko does something stupid and dangerous, he’s trying so hard to prove, both to himself and to ozai, that he’s not a coward.
I have the opposite of an anger problem. I just do not have any anger. At all. Towards anyone. Is this also a problem? Yes. I'm working on it.
