My memory isn't just bad, it doesn't make sense. My memories of events do not add up to a coherent timeline. Like, I remember making a list of villains based around the alphabet for an campaign using the OVA RPG system. I did most of my work on it in the living room at our apartment at Location A. But that can't actually be true because I didn't get the OVA RPG system book until after I started regularly visiting the Local Gaming Store that I now work at. And I didn't start visiting there until after having moved to the apartment at Location B. This is just one of many example of events not lining up. I have more.

The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve. 

Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.

If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.

Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.

This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!

I work at a grocery store and I've literally never seen one without a healthy amount of yellow patterning and usually a chunk of scarring around the stem. Do all y'alls red delicious look like that or is this a 'they took a picture of the reddest apple' situation?

So, a while back, some dude who I will not name because fuck that guy, may he be stricken from history for his sins, he saw Red Delicious Apples and thought, "Yeah, sure, these apples are delicious, but they aren't very red, are they? I can make them more red!"

And so in his arrogance, he did. He made them so red! He bred them to be the absolute reddest they could be. But in doing so, they became awful and plastic, and taste like shit. Not only that, but this new breed of Red Delicious was stronger than the old kind, and they basically wiped out all of our actual good tasting Red Delicious.

So, yeah, our Red Delicious Apples do indeed look like fake plastic crap, and they also taste like fake plastic crap.

I was going to post about how you can get a bunch of SanDisk Sansa Clip+ MP3 players for dirt cheap, that I have three laying around that I got for free because a local hearing aid company bought them in bulk to create feedback loops to test people's hearing. That's how cheap they are.

But then I looked it up and people are selling a single used SanDisk for $100!? What? It wasn't long ago I could buy an 8-pack for around $80 or something.

I’d like to add this photo I took last night in Victoria of the statue of Captain Cook. Though I myself am not indigenous, I 100% agree that these murderers, kidnappers and rapists shouldn’t have huge statues and plaques that decorate them and say how “great” they were.

Here’s another photo of the legislative assembly from yesterday. Later on there were more items, candles and signs at the memorial, as well as a big poster with 1505 painted on it but I didn’t get a picture

I had seen the first picture of the church, but not the second.

I went to a “Cancel Canada Day” event and burst into tears - not because I was surprised to learn of the unmarked graves (survivors told us they were there. Our government pushed it aside, and we let them), but because seeing all the people gathered in mourning drove it home: They. Were. Children.

This is my country’s legacy - and it’s not history. The last schools closed during my lifetime. My Father went to school with students who lived at the local residential school, after it was changed to a boarding house (read: holding centre) for indigenous youth who went to local schools.

They were all children, injured, abused, and killed in my country’s attempt to erase them. I want the world to see this and hold the state accountable to *active* reconciliation> I mean we could at least truly adopt UNDRIP in action instead of words for god’s sake.
