I do think the trans stuff will likely end with a whimper. People slowly stop using the unnecessary language hoops and start just going "yeah, periods are a female issue" again. Some people will be ride-or-die but it'll slowly stop going into legislation, trans people will hopefully be tolerated and respected as humans on an individual level but we stop doing identity-based legislation on women's rights and such. People quietly accept MTFs still largely retain male-patterned behaviors and don't attempt to completely change their perception of the MTF after transition anymore.

Hopefully female spaces become accepted again and if MTFs complain people give them a resounding "well, I mean, you need to respect their right to privacy" and "you can still hang out with your friends and other MTFs and exist how you want, you have all these equivalent spaces for you here already". Trans-specific spaces will probably accelerate this

Comparing this to the dire way they talk about disphoria is so telling. Being a "particularly hairy woman" or "man with tits" is, if you're a TIM or TIF respectively, a sign of needing to transition asap or you'll die. Meanwhile, if you're actually the respective sex, they're perfectly acceptable side effects of transition that you're silly and bigoted for worrying about.

I love that they still don't get that they're proving our point. If a woman doesn't submit to the opinions of males who want to dress up in their sisters and mothers clothing and jack off, who regularly take on the names of former girlfriends and rejectors, who will stand in female bathrooms taking pictures of themselves and filming to show everyone that they can do whatever they want, if women don't submit to that then they must be old, unattractive, smelly bitches, ignoring the fact that an old, unattractive, smelly female is still more female than the most feminine, attractive, passable transwoman. This isn’t my usual post, but men being so intimidated by women with large dogs that they have to point out ways they can overpower the dog drives me nuts.

I’m a woman, living in a city, and I have a VERY large Shepherd mix I got from the shelter (his name is, in fact, Arthur Morgan, but I digress). He’s got some reactivity we’re working on (not aggression; he just wants to say hi to everyone and gets REALLY frustrated when he can’t. We’re working on it). So we go out early to get his exercise in, training, a hike, a hike, and fetch on a longline.

Today was a hike, and the ladies or AFAB people that have large dogs know it makes you feel so much better doing things alone, hiking, running at night, everything, even if your dog is a huge wuss. So we’re on our hike, having a great time, and we stop at a summit to look at the views and all that, and a man starts commenting on my dog. That’s fine; he’s pretty, he’s big, he looks like what people think wolves look like, so I always get comments on him. He asks me why I wanted a big dog, and I said I grew up with them and loved them and feel safer with one around, and this man goes, “Well, you know he’s not bullet proof right?” Then proceeds to also say, “He’s also not immune to, like, a knife.”

Why that man felt the need to invalidate my very real sense of security with my large dog to feel more in control of the situation, and what made it worse was my dog wasn’t reacting, wasn’t barking, was just staring at him, staring like something was wrong. So safe to say the morning hike ended early, and I came back just fuming at how ridiculous men get when they lose even a sliver of power over women. I know I’m not the only woman with a large dog to hear those kinds of comments, but male fragility never ceases to amaze me.

Here’s the problem with basing trans medicalization on research that shows trans people being happier after transition, in very simple terms.

People who wanted a sex change reporting that they are happy when they got a sex change doesn’t prove that giving hormones and surgery to anyone who thinks they want them is a good thing.

It doesn’t prove that there are no other options for improving those people’s mental health other than transition.

men of small stature, gay men, young men, men with disabilities, men with soft features, first-time prisoners, and men who have previously been sexually abused are all at increased risk of violence in prison. of course action should be taken to protect at-risk males, but no one is saying the other groups of at-risk males must be locked in cells with female inmates for sometimes up to 23 hours a day. why are males who identify as women special in this way? LGBT wards have existed since the 90s, why not advocate for more of those instead of insisting your safety is more important than women's? because it's not about safety, it's about denying biological reality and eroding women's rights.
