Artist Bio: Saunders actively works on several ongoing portfolios of fine art imagery that are displayed in solo and group exhibitions and held in the collections of Pfizer, Inc., GE Corporation, as well as other collections, corporate and private. Recognized by the Salmagundi Club of NY with a Certificate of Merit Award for her Polaroid transfer work, she is one of four artists featured in a Polaroid Corporation campaign that garnered a Magazine Publishers of America Kelly Award for Creative Excellence in Magazine Advertising. She has curated numerous exhibitions of night photography ND her night subway images are featured in the book “Night and Low-Light Photography”. More recently, Saunders was a resident artist of the NYC Space for Art program and recipient of a NYC Department of Cultural Affairs grant that enabled her to continue “Pioneers of Bushwick”, a portrait / text project about long-time residents in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The resulting photographic portraits and text were underwritten for a two-year public installation at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
