The Cape Cod League carries with it a long, illustrious history and has featured some of the greatest players in the game. When the players head to Cape Cod, most have little experience hitting with wood bats so it's sink or swim against the best players in the country!

If you've never made the trip, I highly recommend getting yourself down to Louisville to check out the Louisville Slugger museum and factory. This video gives an interesting look at the high-tech way some of the larger companies make woods bats for their professional players.

"Slug it Out"

Great 30 minute documentary about baseball in Italy. Europe is a region where baseball has failed to take hold the way it has in the Americas and parts of Asia so it is interesting to hear about the experiences of these players.

A lot of the stories sound familiar to those who have heard stories of players growing up around the game in Latin America..training wherever they could, making baseball equipment out of whatever they could find.

Take a look if you have 30 minutes to kill.
