I realized that, despite having my neo blog for what must be half a year already, i never really talked much about my pets. So, of course, I need to change that. Here are three of my “spookier” pets who’s arcs mostly take place in the Haunted Woods.

First up is the Plushie Aisha Sahwina, a magical scarecrow who tends to a farm in the Haunted Woods despite it being long abandoned by its owners. On her farm, Saw grows squashes, beans, strawberries, wheat, and her favourite, pumpkins. In recent years, sunflowers have started to grow and, reminding her of the sunsets she likes so much, Saw takes extra good care of them.
Saw likes to cook, but since she can’t eat, she usually leaves it for the wild petpets, or yet again gives it to lost travellers (granted she doesn’t scare them off first). Sahwina runs on magic, its her “food” in a sense, and won’t be able to function if she isn’t recharged. Luckily, Saw hasn’t been on the brink of starvation since she befriended a kind young witch.

a real live neovian ghost buster
Then there’s the Purple Ixi Snell King, codenamed Sneaking for his ability to move rapidly without a sound. Snell is a Neovian who runs his very own “ghostbusting” business. A ghoul in your toilet? Ghost Meepits stealing ALL your juice? Or has a vampire been praying on your small village, slowly killing the inhabitants one by one? Whatever it may be, Snell is there to protect the inhabitants of the Haunted Woods from the supernatural. He doesn’t charge much, believing that no honest man would aim to make a fortune off the backs of the desperate.
Snell has a deep love for his family, despite it being far from complete in these past years. Nearly a decade ago, his eldest sister vanished under mysterious circumstances. While his attempts to find her have been fruitless, Snell, stubborn as a mule (as most ixies are), has refused to give up on his task.

a werekyrii is the lesser known cousin of the werelupe, they say
Finally, we have the Halloween Kyrii Diaclyn. A native of Neopia Central, Diaclyn spent her rowdy, early childhood in and out of the pound. When she was old enough, the then red kyrii, with less than 3,000 NP to her name, travelled south for the Haunted Woods, where, according to hearsay, the lumbering business was booming. Diaclyn’s plans were to make a nice 100,000 NP, maybe also get a new girlfriend, but all she got was a nasty bite from a werelupe.
Being a good sport and optimist at heart, Diaclyn did not let this deter her in the slightest. Instead, she let it turn her life around for the best. It just so happened that the Haunted Wood’s “eat or be eaten” and “every neopet for themselves” way of life was her sort of thing. Well alright, “every neopet for themselves” might not be the right way to put it.
Shortly after she left the werelupe woods (yes Diaclyn lived amongst the Werelupes for some time; no it was not fun, they treat any werewolf thats not a lupe like zeroes, how rude), Diaclyn came across an odd little witch who was in dire need of assistance. While definitely having the intellect of one, Josephine the witch was not a neopet at all, but rather a Halloween Mazzew. She and Diaclyn have become quite a duo ever since.
