I donât really know how to phrase this without making anyone mad, but here goes. Iâm catholic, but I think I may be attracted to women. Iâve had a boyfriend and It wasnât the most satisfying, nor the most pleasant experience. Do you have any advice on how to confirm/ persue this possible attraction and if said attraction is confirmed, how do I persue it while still remaining close to a religious practice I love? Iâm sorry if this is an odd question.
i mean its def up to you but ik quite a few ppl who arent straight who stayed religious. just bc a lot of ppl think that its against the teachings doesnt mean theyre right. idk if thats whats keeping you from feeling like you can be both religious and into girls, but that is part of what i was worried abt back when i was coming to terms w being into girls.
if it is, id say look for places w gay ppl who are also catholic? those ppl would have a lot better advice than i can give since i dont rly want anything to do w my previous religion (christianity) after coming to terms w liking girls or w/e.
also abt confirming id say you already have? it may take you a little time to be like âyeah ok im def into womenâ but the fact that youre thinking it is a pretty strong indicator that its true. as for pursuing? the way i came to terms w it was by making lgbt friends. it helped a lot knowing other ppl who had gone or were going through the same thing i was. a lot of us get alienated from christianity or catholicism but theres def still many who kept a strong belief and i think maybe they could help you a lot? most of the lgbt ppl on here are more than willing to help ppl who are trying to figure this shit out for themselves so def dont be afraid to ask
