carve your name into my arm instead of stressed i lie here charmed
the doctor told me aliens keep killing his companions so I asked how many companions he has and he says he just goes to earth and gets a new companion afterwards so i said it sounds like he's just feeding his companions to aliens and then he started crying
inspired by this post by @utenthy
bisexual men are so fun i take them home and inject them with dirty water from my backyard
"i like men" yup your getting EIGHT milliliters!!!!!!!!!!!!
two people having sex while a third person (not present) is in one way or another a major focus of the sex they are having is like crack to me and is the reason why in my yaoi shipping adventures i always want the two spokes of the love triangle to hook up
every time i see the eighth doctor or speak about him i get increasingly unholy thoughts that i literally cannot say outloud because all the adults in my life know me as innocent and if i say one of my unholy thoughts i will lose my absolute fucking shit in public and die from pure shame.
if you think about it in relation to the way time lord culture favors repression and inaction the way the doctor feels about the master is actually very romantic. to me. in my opinion. they are a time lord romance novel for the ages.

The TARDIS has landed in the backrooms

Iâm not sure what I think
Nobody watched Dr. Who, so he killed himself
BREAKING: doctor who has finally jacked itself off to death
for christmas we're deleting the entire show. tally ho you teaboo shits
I think youâve all been misinformed as to the actual IP situation of dr who in the 90s. Fans did not âownâ dr who in the wilderness years and itâs a massive stretch to even say we controlled the direction of it. Like itâs an actively romanticized and ahistorical view of that time period to say it was a uniquely free time that we can never return to. Because it wasnât. The major difference is not in how much control fans have as fan-authors (big finish has been actively hiring new fan-authors to write new original dr who stories this whole time) but in the specific content standards of Media In General these days. Like itâs true that weâre not getting Doctor Who: Sex And Violence like we did in 1991 but I wouldnât even say that element of the VNAs is a major defining characteristic of what wilderness era who looked like.
Which is all to say that itâs going to be more similar to the old wilderness years than you think, but thatâs because the old wilderness years were a lot worse than you remember
also: it is an objectively true fact that there are more avenues for fans to contribute to licensed dr who media now than there ever have been in the showâs history, regardless of whether the current moment becomes a âsecond wilderness yearsâ or not. Do not let nostalgia for a time I Know many of you were not around for fool youâthe pool of authors for the VNAs and EDAs were tiny compared to the amount of new writers big finish alone is bringing in. It wasnât populist, it wasnât The Fans taking Control, it was a few specific fans (overwhelmingly white and male fans with a very narrow view of what doctor who is or should be) taking direction from editors who ultimately reported to the BBC. It may not seem like it but we have been in a great time for fan labor being recognized and compensated by the bbc for a while.
Doctor Who remains an important part of the BBC
the TL:DR:
Christmas special cancelled
Russell T Davies and his production company are leaving the show
RTD has confirmed on Instagram that there was never a script or proper plan for the Christmas special
The show is going out to competitive tender.
For anyone who is confused as to what 'competitive tender' means:
Caveat that my knowledge of tendering comes from a completely different industry but roughly speaking: other TV production companies will now have an opportunity to pitch their plan for making Doctor Who to the BBC and how much funding they would need and the BBC will give the show to whatever company can do it best and cheapest. Show will remain with the BBC, they are just looking for a new contractor for the production.
Essentially whether this is good or bad news really depends on the likely outcome of the tender and i have no idea what the likely outcome is.
the best case scenario here is that the BBC find a new contractor who can make an acceptable version of Doctor Who for less money and in a few years time we get a whole new version of the show with a new Doctor etc.
and then obviously the worst case scenario is that no-one wants the show or can meet the BBC's funding requirements and then you know. Wilderness Years 2!!!!

What is this?
"This" is just a bunch of nerds making properly formatted EPUBs (convertible into other file types (e.g. MOBI, AZW3)) of Doctor Who books! It was started because @blazing-dynamo wanted to read properly formatted Eighth Doctor Adventures, however has expanded.
Currently the main focuses are Eighth Doctor Adventures, New Series Adventures, and Virgin New Adventures.
How far along are you?
We have not always gone in order - having 10 books in a series doesn't mean we'll have the first ten.
EDAs: 47/73 (+1 - the TV movie novelisation)
VNAs: 61/61
Benny NAs: 1/23
VMAs: 30/33 (+1 - 'Who Killed Kennedy')
PDAs: 44/74 (+1 - the infinity doctors)
NSAs: 6/77
Icons: 3/4
Target novels: 131 classic novelisations ("Target broadcast"), 16 nuwho and 4 other ("Odds and Ends"), 3/3 "The Companions of Doctor who" (under "Companion Chronicles"), 3/3 target missing episodes
Decalogs: 3/5
Short trips: BBC 3/3, big finish 8/29
Telos novellas: 11/15
Please note some files have two or more versions of the same book; they have been formatted in different styles, giving you options! It's still the same book (:
Have you done the book I want?
