Two Hunters

Artemis and Orion were close hunting companions. The goddess of the hunt admired Orion's skills so much that she invited him to join her huntresses, becoming the first and only man to hunt alongside her.

Such a strong connection served to turn into something more, into love. Orion was the only man Artemis allowed to touch her, knowing that he would treat her with respect. The goddess loved it when the Star Hunter braided her hair.

Their love was not erotic or passionate, they loved each other for who they were and helped them see the world differently. Orion, who was the offspring of Gaia and Tartarus, born to defeat Artemis and Apollo, fell in love with his goddess-rival. And Artemis finally met someone who saw her as something more than just a beautiful goddess to conquer.

But unfortunately their love did not have a happy ending. Damn that Scorpio.

Finally I was able to show you this wonderful work! I love this mythological couple very much! One of the most underrated couples in my opinion! That's why I will develop it myself! In the future I plan to provide a little more content on these two lovebirds and purely on the myth of Orion! I adore this Star Hunter!

Rivalry

What kind of passions are brewing between Olympus and the Underworld? It's the beautiful Aphrodite and the death-bringing Persephone, who have begun their showdown again. The clashes between these goddesses are always so intriguing that all of Olympus stands still, quietly watching as Persephone once again triumphs over Aphrodite. After all, the goddess of beauty can only make people fall in love in her with a golden girdle. When Persephone fell in love with the king of the Underworld, who loves her, and in the Underworld, she is as feared as her husband.

I've been toying with the idea of a rivalry between Persephone and Aphrodite for a long time. There are a couple of similar encounters where Persephone showed Aphrodite her place, whether it was the death of Adonis or the eternal sleep that Persephone placed in Psyche's box. That's why I find it funny that these two goddesses can argue about love and beauty, and Persephone wins their battles, even though she's not a goddess of love and beauty like Aphrodite.

And a couple of funny moments in this screenshot:

1. Hades has a minus, so he wears glasses when he sits down to do paperwork. Persephone really loves it when he wears glasses, so after heavy paperwork, Hades has a wonderful night with his wife.

2. Persephone has fattened everyone in the Underworld (Demeter sends her plenty of food), so the bats surrounding her have become flying babies.

By the way, this screenshot was also inspired by a song "Stayed Gone" from Hazbin Hotel. That song is just about them.

From Kore to Persephone

From a minor goddess of spring to a revered mistress of the Underworld. Truly one of the best career advancements among the gods. Persephone should not be considered weak and helpless, punishment will overtake those who honor her with unworthy gifts.

From "Maiden" to "Deathbringer". I see Persephone as self-esteeming but not arrogant. She knows her position and she will not allow herself to be offended, even when she spends two-thirds of the year with her mother Demeter. This goddess changed her name not only to become the goddess of the Underworld, but so that everyone else would understand what would happen if they crossed her. She is not a fragile flower but a thorn bush, but even it has flowers to please those Persephone loves.

I am so happy to show you this work! I have wanted to bring it to life for a long time! Persephone was not a very interesting goddess for me at first until I realized that I see her differently than others. Persephone is a deadly, self-respecting goddess to me. She will not allow herself to be treated badly, she is no longer a little girl, as Demeter sees her. Listen to the song "Pomegranate Lips" by Derivakat. It was this song that inspired the character and history of my interpretation of Persephone.

Mother and daughter

The union of Demeter and Zeus gave birth to the young goddess Kore. Demeter loved her daughter very much and her kind and gentle nature. Perhaps this is why Kore later became the goddess of spring, which is associated with the qualities of this goddess. The mother and daughter loved to spend time in a meadow with flowers, where one day Kore braided a small braid for Demeter, which she wears today. But who knew that this meadow with flowers would later become the place where the young Kore was kidnapped by the ruler of the Underworld - Hades? But now is not about that, let's enjoy the moment of mother and daughter.

We found love in Hell

The story of Hades and Persephone has many interpretations, but what can be said for sure is that their love is strong and unbreakable. Despite being from different worlds, their love overcame all obstacles to be together. And even though they are mere fairy tales today, people continue to admire how Hades and Persephone, despite all the obstacles, found each other

I really love the relationship between Hades and Persephone. They are one of the strongest couples in Greek mythology, especially among the gods. So I decided to delight them with some time together. I was inspired by the song "Easy" from the season 2 of Hazbin Hotel. It's literally a song about them.

I've developed a canon: Persephone loves to dress in all sorts of beautiful outfits, which Hades and Persephone herself buy for her, while Hades himself can wear the same chitons for centuries, and Persephone simply forces her husband to follow fashion. The most handsome and wealthy god doesn't use his wealth to pamper himself, but in return, he pampers his wife. Persephone enjoys Hades' gifts, but she also wants Hades to take care of himself.

I hope you enjoy this work; it was still ready in early January, but I decided to show it on this holiday. By the way, the artist decided to make two versions of the background, both very beautiful, so I couldn't choose which was better, so I'm publishing both versions.

Rhea suffers immensely every time her newborn child is condemned to a terrible fate. She lost five of her children this way. Each time, she fought back, trying to protect them, but none were saved. But she found a solution to save her newborn youngest son. Unfortunately, the queen of the gods would have to part with him too, but she did so so that her young Zeus could grow into a powerful god who would save his brothers and sisters. He would be safe on the island of Crete. In this way, Rhea would save all her children.

I believe this part of the myth isn't adequately explored from Rhea's perspective. She is a mother who couldn't save five of her children from a terrible fate, and she must also abandon the sixth to keep him out of the reach of Kronos. But this choice to abandon Zeus meant that she and her children were finally able to escape Kronos's tyranny.

Fear

Uranus's words were merely a cry of despair before his overthrow, weren't they? How could Kronos's own child, now in his arms, overthrow him in the future? She's his daughter. But why, despite their outward resemblance, does she and her power feel different? Kronos had already seen the children of his brothers and sisters, who were Titans like themselves, but his newborn daughter... She's something else, something unknown, something that could be dangerous.

A very dark work compared to most other works. I've long wanted to show this part of the myth, when Kronos thinks before devouring his children. And it began with little Hestia, who, in my mind, most closely resembles her father in appearance. How ironic that the child who most closely resembled her father was the first to be swallowed by him.

From the Sea Foam

What silhouette emerges from the sea waves? It's a goddess, a goddess who emerged from the sea foam. Her hair is like a sunset, her eyes sparkle like stars, her body is the embodiment of perfection, her skin is white as foam. None of the immortal goddesses or mortal women can compare to her beauty. She is the embodiment of love and beauty. Aphrodite, the first among the Olympian gods.

I've long wanted to depict the birth of Aphrodite, and finally, it's happened! The artist suggested depicting her birth alongside Ariel, the mermaid, emerging from the sea at the end of the cartoon, meeting her beloved. The final version certainly looks a little different, but I'm happy with the result!

First Love

I think you are all familiar with Prometheus - the one who supported the Olympians during the war with the Titans, being a Titan himself. The creator of humans, the one who stole fire for those same humans so that they could learn independence and develop, knowing that there would be a punishment for this. A truly great figure in Greek mythology, many still admire his perseverance and sacrifice.

I think it was impossible to pass by such a selfless Titan without admiring him. Prometheus showed a good example of a hardworking man who loves his work and his creation in the form of people. So I assume that during the Titanomachy and after it, goddesses like Hestia, Hera and Demeter were in love with Prometheus. It may sound a little strange, especially with Hestia, but I think even she could have feelings for him. I think for all three goddesses Prometheus became their first love, although the Titan himself did not notice the fact that three important goddesses fell in love with him at once.

You know, it seems to me that Zeus took the fact that all his sisters were in love with Prometheus badly, not understanding how it was possible to admire him when there is a king of the gods. I think this was the reason that Prometheus was chained to a rock.

Best friends

During the Titanomachy, when Hera hid in the seas near the Titans Oceanus and Tethys, the young goddess Iris visited her, conveying all the news from the front. This was the beginning of the friendship of these young goddesses and the beginning of the career growth of Iris, who after the victory of the Olympians became the messenger of the gods, often collaborating with Hera.

I see these goddesses as true best friends. It seems to me that Hera lacked a purely friendly company on Olympus and Iris gave her this necessary support.

Zeus' youth in Crete was full of training, teaching, fear for his life because of his father Kronos, who could find out about Rhea's deception with the replacement of the baby with a stone. But there were also pleasant moments like the company of Metis, who was the daughter of Okenan and Tethys. She was the Titan of wisdom and cunning, she shared with Zeus the knowledge of poisons that the Titan herself prepared. And she was also a good conversationalist. And gradually Zeus and Metis began to notice an attraction to each other. Zeus rarely had an emotional connection with any of his subsequent lovers, but with Metis he felt loved and understood. Just as Metis felt understood and noticed next to Zeus. I have wanted to share this work for a long time and finally got the chance! To be honest, I have seen very little attention paid to the relationship between Metis and Zeus, although there are cases where it was revealed as a treacherous relationship (well, remember that Zeus swallowed Metis). I wanted to give these two a better disclosure, although I still do not remove responsibility from Zeus for swallowing Metis. I just wanted to see such a young love between these two. Grove of Dodona

In the early days of the world, Titan Rhea created a magical grove of oak trees that would later become famous in Greece for whispering the future with the wind. This grove would be known as the Grove of Dodona.

Finally, I am happy to show you the images of the parents of the elder Olympian gods - Kronos and Rhea! I really like how they turned out! Rhea looks wonderful and beautiful! And Kronos turned out great! And you can’t tell that in the future he will eat children for dinner. You know, I am very tired of the image of old Kronos in paintings or modern art. I wanted to show this Titan of time in his prime and attractiveness. And it turned out quite well, in my opinion!

About the Grove of Dodona: I know that most versions say that this grove was created by Zeus and the Oracle of this place belongs to Zeus. But I liked the little-known version that Titan Rhea created this grove. In this version, there is a connection between Rhea and her mother Gaia. And I want Rhea to have more merits because she deserves to have them.
