Nick has managed to make his nest up in a rather tall tree. He’s collected twigs, branches, and some cattail to twine together into a nest big enough for him to sleep in. 

Which is what he’s doing right now. He’ll hunt later, right now he’s catching up on some lost sleep. His wings are curled around his body to conceal him from the wind. Soft snoring can be heard from him as he sleeps.

“Pure Spy? Alright. Nice to meet you Christian.” He tucks his hands in his pockets. “Not really. Uh.. are you one of those guys in red and blu who shoot each other all of the time?” He’d recently learned that the ones that stabbed were called Spies.

Nick had been flying for a while now. A freshly killed, small bird hung limply in his talons as he searched for Sapphire. He finally spots her and flies down low enough to call out to her. "Hey! Sapphire!" [ just gonna leave this here owo ]

Upon hearing her name, Sapphire initially flipped the fuck out and nearly jumped out of her exoskeleton. Instead though she tripped on herself and ended up flopping on her human half with a grumble. “What’s the big deal!?”

“Dream catchers… those are the things that catch nightmares and stuff right? do you really believe that it works?” she was a bit f a skeptic, but regardless of whether it worked, it looked interesting. ‘Do you lose a lot of feathers in a day?” she didn’t know much about birds besides them being tasty but hard to catch.

“Well, a bit. They’re mostly just fun to make.” He smiles, looking down at the dreamcatcher necklace. “My feathers are falling off more now that it’s spring, so I’m molting. See?” He unfolds one of his wings, revealing a large gap near the tip of the wing. “They fall off in the spring, then grow back in the fall, brand new and clean.” He pulls out another dreamcatcher necklace, painted orange with redish-brown feathers hanging down from them, offering it to Sapphire. “Want one?”

Well, they had a color in common. Good start. “Hobbies? uhhh… Eat, sleep, spin silk, cause admittedly it’s.. pretty damn cool the way it happens.” She lifted one of her front legs and showed she bit of sticky substance that would be silk if she were to start spinning. “What do you do for fun? other than fly, cause that’s obvious.”

“Oooh. Neat.” He smiles, leaning in to get a closer look at the silk. “...I make little crafts out of my old feathers. Like dreamcatchers and the like.” Nick pulls out a small necklace with a dreamcatcher on it, some of Nick’s feathers hanging from it. He’s only made a few considering he didn’t have a permenant nest to keep them in. He should probably get one so he can put dreamcatchers all around it.

He was about to continue his approach until it registered what the other splice was saying. His eyes widened. “Wh-”

Those eyes however relaxed rather quickly as his lips manifested a smirk. “Nice. You think I’m an idiot, don’t you? I know the moment you get out of this place, you’ll fly off and never return.”

"I'm not that smart. I wouldn't have offered it if I couldn't swim. I'd have probably jumped in the water anyway and drowned in my attempt to escape." He actually contemplated doing that. Though he wanted to get revenge on the farmer there that had tried to shoot at him when he had flown over. He'd have to hunt at night to get any of them if the farmer guards them daily. "It's not that far from here I don't think... is it night out yet?"

That answer was… Underwhelming, to put it lightly. There was still a hint of suspicion etched into the Sniper’s features, but he did his best to turn it into one of curiosity.

“Well… Sort of? I’ve only met one, and he was with RED….” And a lizard. While he knew of others, Grant hadn’t met many other splices personally.. He just knew that he hadn’t even heard of them before joining up with BLU. But apparently this guy hadn’t been a part of either? Hm.

“What kind of splice was he?” He’s not going to go around looking for splices, that’s just asking for trouble. Though he may keep an eye out in case he runs into them. So far he’s met a tarantula splice, a crab splice, and a falcon splice (though he’s not sure that they’re even a falcon--). 

“Also, what’s with the RED and BLU thing?” He was genuinely curious since he sees some people dressed in blue and others dressed in red and they just shoot at each other all day, scaring off all the prey. “And why do you guys shoot each other all the damn time?”
