So like I love how in the High School Musical trilogy we all know Ryan Evans is gay argue with your mama he is and i just found out Kenny Ortega wanted him to have a “coming out” in HSM3 but the writers said no. Well I’m sitting here watching HSMTMTS and I’m to the part where Corbin (Chad) Monique (Taylor) and Lucas (Ryan) all come back and now Ryan has a whole husband? Boyfriend? Idk either way I’m so happy about this. But Chad and Ryan are end game to me.

Do you ever just think about the Marauders. If you’ve ever been told that faith and being LGBTQ+ can’t exist in the same space, I want to gently push back on that today.

I’m grateful for a church that doesn’t treat inclusion like a debate, but like a basic expression of love. A church that believes people are not problems to be solved, but beloved children of God—exactly as they are.

Within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), there are congregations and communities that openly affirm LGBTQ+ people, celebrate same-gender marriage, welcome queer leadership, and continue to work toward justice and equity in real, tangible ways. It’s not perfect, and it’s not finished, but it is real.

And for a lot of people, that matters more than words.

Because sometimes “all are welcome” actually means all are welcome. Not “you can come, but only if you change.” Not “you can stay, but only if you stay quiet about who you are.” Just… welcome.

Pride Month is a celebration, yes—but it’s also a reminder. That dignity should never be conditional. That faith doesn’t have to be used as a weapon. And that there are still spaces where love is chosen on purpose, not just preached in theory.

To every queer person who has been hurt by religious spaces: you are not alone. And to every church trying to do better, listen better, love better—keep going.

Ron and Hermione’s feelings didn’t suddenly appear because of Viktor Krum. The feelings had been building for years.

* Hermione was devastated when Ron mocked her relationship with Krum instead of admitting he was jealous.

* Ron was jealous of Krum long before he knew about the kiss.

* Hermione constantly worried about Ron’s safety and well-being in ways that went beyond friendship.

* Ron noticed things about Hermione that nobody else did, even if he wasn’t always great at expressing it.

* Their arguments were often fueled by feelings neither of them knew how to discuss.

The Krum revelation didn’t create feelings—it exposed feelings that were already there.

Even without Ginny’s comment, something else would have forced the issue eventually. Ron and Hermione were never particularly good at hiding jealousy from each other.

Ron had already shown signs of being jealous over Krum years earlier. Hermione had already shown that Ron’s opinion mattered to her more than she wanted to admit. The emotional groundwork was already there.

The biggest evidence is that their relationship continues developing long after the Krum reveal. Their bond survives fights, separations, a war, and countless moments where they choose each other over everyone else.

Would it have taken longer?

Probably.

Would there have been more misunderstandings?

Definitely.

But Ron and Hermione’s story was never built on one conversation about Viktor Krum. It was built on years of friendship, loyalty, affection, frustration, and growing up together.

Ginny may have sped things up.

She didn’t create what was already there.
