Letās talk!
Whatās an experience you had in mortuary school or working in a funeral home that you absolutely hated? Could be anything, from a rough case to simply boring paper work.
marketing & merchandizing classes for me! all of my professors really felt very strongly about funeral service being a business and money being the most important thing. we aren't salesmen before we're service professionals, imo. always left a bad taste in my mouth.
I had to reblog this as soon as I saw this cause I couldnāt possibly agree more. Yes, itās a business, all services are businesses, but we work in the industry of CARING. Morticians donāt make a lot of money. We donāt nor should we go into the industry for the money. Iāve straight up had a former coworker of mine say āIām not paid enough to careā if you donāt care you shouldnāt work this industry. Weāre here to love and support families, not make money, if you donāt like that this isnāt the industry for you. Iām glad Iām not the only person who believes this.
