Hi! I am really curious of the meaning behind 13 no fuyu? If you can share your interpretation of it. And, what is the SH song it has similarities with? Shingeki no Kyojin fan here. Thank you.

Hello! So 13 no Fuyu is a song that is supposed to represent Mikasa’s feeling towards Eren and towards his will to fight (you can read the full translation of 13 no Fuyu here, and Shoukei to Shikabane no Michi here!). The whole “13 winters” thing is obviously a reference to the crucial information that will be revealed in the anime soon enough.

As for the songs that have similarities with 13 no Fuyu, they’re mainly from 5th story cd, Roman album, but there are also some other songs from another SH album/single. People who know Sound Horizon almost guaranteed to have Roman in mind the very first time they hear 13 no Fuyu (especially the ending). It’s not only about similar melodies, but also the way he put a windmill sound effect and how he makes “13 no Fuyu” as the title, as I explained in the last answer post.

Those songs are:

Asa to Yoru no Roman (Roman album, basically the whole song)

Yaneura Monogatari (Roman’s bonus track, the first 50 seconds of the song)

Interview with Noel (from Vanishing Starlight single, at time-stamp 6:55)

And many more, because Revo just really like the melody and keep reusing it (it’s not like I’m complaining or anything, it’s good).
