might write soon when i feel like it. not sure what to write though its been 4 years long spent of my time and i suddenly realized i’ve become an adult more or less. like it or not. but i might not be that adult either. you know when you think yourselves as one thing, you are not part of the one. adult is one of them.

Summer 2012 Seasonal Animu Review

hi. if you reading this, you probably still know that i'm alive.

why animu review all of the sudden ? i just had the feeling to do it (and self-gratification).

okay, here goes few of noteable series of last summer.

"Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate" (Love, Election, and Chocolate)

yes, it's Election. not the one with "R". just like the title implies, it's another kind of love-comedy-high school life genred anime, added with a little bit of political intrict. to put it on words, it's kind of cliche, but it still good. the story itself was about some members of club who tries to save their club from getting disbanded because of the new rules of the student body. and the only way going through it is participating in the election as student council president. this anime was adapted from galge, which means it could turns good or bad in any way possible. but fortunately, i think it was come out pretty enjoyable for a galge adaptation. the plot was quite consistent and every character arc was wrapped quite nicely, not leaving the track of main story. and some little twist at the end of the airing time was quite nice. even though character development kind of sloppy and well.. let's leave at that. we know the reason why after all.

good enough. 7/10

"Binbougami ga!" (The Gods of Misfortune!)

this one was came from studio Sunrise, which is famous for being great in comedy and action/mecha animu they made. Binbougami ga! itself tells story about a busty, beautiful young girl, blessed by tons of fortune around her, and a God of Misfortune, trying to cash up some of her fortune she has for sake the balance of nature. well, it's roughly comedy-parody, so when you laugh hard or just facepalming (cus you don't get anything) pretty much depends on your otaku knowledge. but don't worry, still tons of stupid scene to get laughed at. now, the only thing i had nagged here only about how much drama taken part in. sometimes it became pretty awkward to laugh then you forced to saw a tearjerking scene. and i just had to :okay: my face away from the screen.

good laugh. 7.5/10

"Kokoro Connect" (People Random)

now, this is one of the highlight of the season. this series was pretty much exceed my pre-assumption of underestimate point. the story was good, the twist had good part in it, character development almost perfect, even though the artwork and BGM had to come only normal. the story was about five highschool kids who take part in one club, and dragged into some weird phenomenon just like.. switching your soul into others body in some period of times. even though mystery was still left unclear at the end of the episode, it still great. i love it.

must. watch. 8/10

"Natsuyuki Rendezvouz" (Summer Snow Rendezvouz)

this josei (this genre refers to women, adult version), romance, and drama genred anime, was good enough to make me watching this to the end. actually, josei is not really my cup of tea, but the ending song (aimer) was good enough to pique my curiousity on this anime. if you're looking for kind of story "adult-love" -like, this anime is for you. the romance and setting was quite realistic, comparing to our lives these days. though as in the story, a ghost was appearing and makes things complicated. it's realistic, a bit mystic, but not that serious, you should expect some stupid scene cus of certain ghost was there.

great, for some change of pace (7.5/10)

"Rinne no Lagrange" (Flower declaration of your Heart) 

this anime actually parted into two cour and separated by a season. if i had to say one word about this anime, it was beautiful. i don't know how but, seeing kamogawa oceans, genki deshita shoujo-tachi, and mechas are very pleasing. the story itself pretty much sci-fi, a bit drama, yuri. the story was quite good, but not that noteable, but it was backed up by great artwork and well-done animation. i'd dare say this anime has one of the best visuals among it's competitors. even though i'm not a big fan of mecha, i still enjoyed this.

great watch. 8/10

"Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon" S2 (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere S2)

here comes, the best of the best of the best of the best in the last season. kyoukaisenjou. great story, great comedy, tons of weird and cool characters, some twisted gimmick brought by upon the kyoukaisen universe. this anime had its own charm, even though most people had given up cus of the heavy story and not backed up with any background latter. but you know, if you are really interested in the story, not focusing in the boobs, you would still hanging in there, cus this kyoukaisen is just too epic to be missed. i know tons of infodumps out there are blowing your minds out, but it was worthed. i mean it. because i feel like kyoukaisen is one of the best anime i'd ever watch these past two years. i laugh, i amazed, i heartwarmed, cried, this anime had all emotions in it. not to mention epic BGM, soundtrack and top-tier quality of animation and artwork brought by Sunrise. watch them, observe closely, then you'll find out what just i talking about here.

one of the anime you just have to watch before you die or leaving regret. 10/10

no, i'm not over-exaggerating. i really mean it.

there, some reviews from me. actually i had a few more titles, but they aren't that noteworthy, even though some of them are quite good. and there's few titles that running in two cour, but i won't do unfinished review. maybe i'll do it later.

well, i just want to post this stuff long time ago. just happened to remember it and yeah, post-haste (pun intended)

okay, that was cheesy. anyway, this song is one of the song i fall about. it's lovely and chilling at the same time. gives you some weird vibes, but you'll be longing for it. the first i heard of it was few months ago, while this song is being one of opening song on one series, Dantalian no Shoka (Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian)

if i had to describe its genre, its avant-garde, fantasy, ethereal, kind-of-opera-song. and if i had to describe its music, its only a grand voice, with piano and orchestra set as background music. but i think the main appeal here is the voice. i just fall in love the moment i hear of it. well, maybe people who hate opera and kind of grand music won't take liking of this song. i don't blame 'em. but for me, this kind of song is a refreshment for my ears. after hearing distortion and any other, this song is pretty relaxing to me.

there's something funny about this song. its about the lyrics. at first, you might think you heard some latins that she speaks, but it isn't. i google some discussions and yeah, people who speaks latin confirmed that there's isn't any single latin they could heard. rather its called "Ratin-ish". what the hell is that ? you know that japanese had this kind of habits, turning the language into their accent, and words are adaptating as well. its happening on this song.

if it is all for our own good, why not ?

okay, i'm inspired to type this topic to blog because what happened this morning on my timeline twitter.

there's a person who believes that our laws (yes, laws) in this country are biased. he thinks and believe that we shouldn't follow/agree about the laws that this country creates. because, why follow something that people we didn't even know create long, long ago ? he said. 

so he say this morning that he breaks through the red traffic light and he thinks that he does nothing wrong because he think that laws made by people he didn't even know are just dumb.

now you see where this all gone wrong ? the fact that he did think that way, it's just that wrong. laws are made for the good of humanity. what are we become if there's isn't any single laws in this earth ? i know you have seen these on movies. and he thinks that he will be fine if he stay careful to get through the partways. now that's what we called "ignorant dumb".

the facts that he thinks that if everyone would does what he does if there's isn't any laws on the traffic are just naive. all people are the same ? that would be the end of the world, indeed. naive. 

laws are made for purpose of society controls. people tends to get anything they want to do if there's isn't anything that limits them to do so. thus, the laws are born. imagine if there's isn't any laws. would be a chaos everywhere we go. the end of the humanity are just a matter of minutes.

from his point of view, we could see that everyone has their own desires. and yeah, it's just plain stupid to see it from that way. if it is all for their own good, why not ?

yeah, i'm dissapointed in him. i thought he was an intellegent person who could think rationally and logically sane.

now i'm hitting unfollow button.
