we've medicalized and capitalized the natural human state to such a degree that "seasonal affective disorder" is a diagnosed illness instead of being recognized as a natural part of being an animal... of course people are tired and don't want to work during the winter, we're NOT SUPPOSED TO! we're supposed to stay indoors and snuggle up and eat stored food and sleep during the winter! but since this gets in the way of Generating Profit 24/7/52, it has to be medicalized and otherized, and we are told that there is something wrong with us for experiencing this natural phenomenon.
