nicknames for pets are so funny because i have a dog i call Dongor and two cats that I call Nilbob and Dinglesteez
For context:
1. My dog’s name is Abby (the name she came with as a rescue dog), but at first we wanted to change it but since no one could agree on a name we referred to her as simply “the dog” and thanks to my mom, a nickname for the dog emerged which was Dogger and that stuck so we call her Dogger but in my pet voice it sounds like “Dongor”
2. I have a cat named Silly. When I was little I called him Nilly. My mom calls our cats her babies which turned into her “bobbies.” Silly = Nilly. Baby = Bobby. Silly Baby —>Nilly Bobby —>Nilbob
3. I have a cat named Wonder (short for Stevie Wonder). I call her Steez as short for Stevie. One day she had a gross dingleberry. Hence the name “Dinglesteez”
