A little rough animation test to try out the character design or short film project, Wow!
Animated this little octocat for GitHub’s new sign-up flow. It’s the last thing you see before you get a GitHub account :)
An FX breakdown from an animated explainer I helped make at GitHub. Lots of fun little details in there :)
Little octocat in a hard hat playing with a commit icon :)
He’s going to be a background Easter egg in an animated explainer and since he won’t be front and center in the video I wanted to post him somewhere...
Rough animation for the squirrel I posted earlier.
Animated in photoshop.
Another camera test from my wife and I’s short film, Wow!
Check out the project over at www.instagram.com/wowshortfilm
Little octocat walk cycle on 1′s for an animation test to see if the outline style is working.
A little squirrel animation test for a project that got shelved at GitHub.
A little breakdown of how I animated the camera test for @wowshortfilm
First camera test for the short film my wife and I are making in our free time. Super excited about this project:)
If you want to learn more or follow along with the project, you can check us out on instagram and tumblr @wowshortfilm :)
Another peek into how I animated and composited the 2d fx for a shot in the animated short I helped make at Github. Animated straight ahead and colored in Toon Boom. Compositing and post effects in AE.
A little look into how I built the 2d FX for Hubot’s Thruster in the Github Universe animated short. Animation was done in Toon Boom, with compositing in After Effects.
(The final gif had to pretty gif-i-fied to fit under Tumblr’s fascist 3mb size limit. Watch the short HERE to see it in glorious full resolution)
The animated short I’ve been working on at Github for the last few months just came out! With a late-in-the-game story re-write and a hard deadline of this week, we ended up producing this entire short it under 6 weeks. So much love and long days were put in on this one. Check it out!
Finally got around to adding color to this beast. It’s of a liquor store a few blocks from my house in Oakland. Love this building:)
Working on a big ‘ol illustration of a crazy cool Victorian building over a corner store on Adeline in West Oakland. Sketch complete. Eventually I’ll get around to coloring it...
He was happy walking there, but now he’s sad walking home. Check out my previous post for the happy walk:)
Getting a little faster at toonboom...
I’ve been taking advantage of a lull in work to learn Toonboom Harmony, where I made this little guy. It’s definitely a different thought process than Adobe products, but I’m really liking it so far.
