never feel guilty for starting again

The first official day of fall 🍎 I’m eating cider donuts, baking apple desserts, re-reading my favorite books, and wearing sweaters in the crisp autumn air.

Before I dived into the stories set in Middle Earth, I read two shortstories by Dostoevsky. White Nights and Bobok satisfied my need for something concise and concerned with the human condition. The latter was witty, quick and absurd in its critique of society and bureaucracy, while the former laid out the heartbreak of young love and friendship as well as the normalised dependency of women. The writing was beautiful, I marked many passages that conveyed intense emotion and truths.

I remember it fondly when I sit at my desk writing. The quick mind and the precision of the language were quite impressive but piqued my interest in reworking my paper again and again. I've become a stonemason, slowly chipping away at the incomplete stone to fashion it into a breathtaking statue.

going to start doing a daily thing to hold myself accountable :')) i spent most of my study time today just trying to figure out how the hell to use r... we've got like 60 practice questions and i've only gone through 27 of them and they're due by tomorrow night i'm so cooked... i ended up walking home at 9:30 because absolutely nothing was going on in my head at that point and pushing any further didn't feel productive anymore. i think i'll take the rest of tonight off to reset and get back to it tomorrow and just pray i get it done by midnight tomorrow.

been feeling pretty energetic and motivated this week, even getting out of bed before the sunrise as the days get warmer and longer. so I'm channeling that energy towards writing the 10k words I need to submit by december. i do not know when the next crash will happen. it's all a chaotic mess of rage writing but writing is the only way through which i can think.
