Community is one of those symbol fronts. Only Abed understands what us being said, he devised at The Font, troy understands bit because of how deeply he understands Abed. Annie has studied so hard to work it out, she getting there Abed keeps leaving her clues. Sherly thinks its cute till she see the script, then she thinks its demonic, but spends ages trying to steel Annie's notes anyway. Jeff pretends not to care. Pierce does not care, he thinks its gay (it is a little, bc Abed loves troy so much) until he thinks they're bitching about him.

15. Only 15 episodes into Community, barely into the second semester. Annie's automatic response to Troy approaching her alone is "I don't know where Abed is, I could try calling him if you want". And his response to that, while ostensibly trying to flirt with her, is "I'm not looking for my other half, I'm looking for you girl". Less than a year ago this guy was an unreachable cool high school crush to her, now he can't flirt convincingly even when he's convinced he's into her, and would clearly rather be holding hands with his nerdy best friend.
