I am obsessed with Gay singing robots and Gay ducks and they're the only thing keeping me going. My vocal synths are my family and the Mallard-McQuack family lives rent free in my head.

Working on my own continuation of the Mallard-McQuack family's story for DuckTales 2017 and I guess also the 2010/16 comics too since I got a few ideas for that. Apologies for never uploading them in order, my head's just way too scatterbrained. (If you want to read them in chronological order see the comic index page.)

Louie: Yeah, this wouldn't last would it?...

Duck Avenger: You aren't getting away this time!

Jade: Ugh, him again?

Diem: Are we gonna fight the elderly?

Mantis: Jun-Jade! And Diem? And DA? What's going on?!

DA: I'm finally stopping Jade and her accomplice! Something you could never manage to do! DON'T YOU DARE LEAVE!

Jade and Diem stop trying to sneak away.

DA: My suit's been reinforced and can't be clawed. Try and get me now!

Jade: This is gonna get annoying, isn't it?

Diem: Uh– Think fast!

Diem blasts DA with his light ray, point blank. The two run off in the background as DA grabbed his face in pain.

DA: GAH! My eyes!

DA, pointing: Go after them!

Mantis: Let me get you somewhere safe first, alright?

Mantis: I'll just grab your... hat?

Re-reblogging to add: Out of the 48 trans patients with thyroid diagnoses, 26 were taking estrogen and 21 were taking testosterone. One is unspecified in the article.

43 of this thyroid dx/hrt group had hypothyroidism! That's 8.7% of the population taking hrt (total sample of 554), while 3-5% is the rate in the non-hrt population.

In other words: this applies to ALL folks taking hrt. This study found that hypothyroidism is somewhat more common with estrogen hrt, but the rate is still elevated with testosterone hrt vs people not taking any at all.

If you're on hrt and show signs of thyroid issues, talk to your care provider! It's common in general, and more common in us.

Because a lot of endocrinologists are weird fatphobic transphobic assholes here is what to do to get your levels checked: ask them to run full thyroid work up including TBG and F14, F13 levels. If they refuse, claiming that your TSH levels are normal, remind them that TSH is a pituitary hormone and can take many years before matching actual thyroid hormone levels. Tell them that the prevalence of hypothyroidism in trans people is approximately 8.7%, much higher than the estimates of 3-5% in the general population, and that estrogen can overstress a trans person’s thyroid causing hypothyroidism. If they still refuse, report them to whatever body governs their behaviour and find a new doctor.

It's very upsetting that Drake built a costume for Gosalyn to fit her little 9 year old body, despite it being 20 years since she last disappeared. He's so stuck it kills me, this whole au is beyond devastating.

It's also interesting that Darkwarrior truly believed that if Gosalyn were to show up that she would be on board with what he was doing. Gosalyn is one of the kindest and most thoughtful characters of the whole cast-Drake should know that, and yet he's so deluded that he completely forgot that about her. I suppose its because Dwar himself doesn't think he's doing 'wrong'.

Anyways, after the events of Time and Punishment, in a sort of 'redemption' au, Dw and Lp reunite and Lp goes to clear out Darkwarriors headquarters because they need to get rid of that stuff before the public find it. Launchpad finds the costume and is really forced to have a moment where he realises how badly this whole Gosalyn thing took a toll on his mental health. (As if it wasn't clear before but)

Like obviously Launchpad never left St Canard and he watched Dwar police the city and do unforgivable things, but he didn't get to see this sort of thing.
