Avatar: The Last Airbender - Flashes of Fire

The reboots, remakes, and sequels of Avatar: The Last Airbender only reminds us that people love the animated television show and the characters who reside in the world. Out of all of the main and beloved characters (Aang, Katara, Sooka, Toph, Zuko) people either know or have headcannoned their futures as adults, couples, and parents. But there has always been one character that even the official sequel show, The Legend of Korra, has never shined a light on. Azula. Fire Lord Ozai's daughter. Prince Zuko's sister. Firebending master. As a fanfic writer I live in fear of the AO3 Author curse. I have a dog, is he going to die? Am I going to get into a sudden car accident? Is my entire family going to die in between publishing chapters? Will my non-existent beta reader go to prison? Will I become pregnant through an immaculate conception (I’m single and have never had a partner) and publish a chapter just after giving birth? I’m just really scared because my life’s been really normal so far but as my fics get more and more reads and kudos I feel a lurking sense of dread 😭.
