it’s so comforting to know that however sad you are feeling on a given day, franz kafka will always have been even sadder on that very date at some point
“There are many Beths in the world, shy and quiet, sitting in corners till needed, and living for others so cheerfully, that no one sees the sacrifices till the little cricket on the hearth stops chirping, and the sweet, sunshiny presence vanishes, leaving silence and shadow behind.”
— Louisa May Alcott, Little Women

I'm in love with involuntary validation of a relationship. My best friend saying "our spot", my brother saying "our cookie recipe" or my mum saying "our song". Like YES I LOVE YOU TOO. I'm so soft for it.
the way the story told in the Joker and the Queen (feat. TS) fits perfectly into both Ed and Taylor's personal growth arcs simultaneously is an amazing parallel in and of itself ... but what really makes the story complete is the way the video symbolizes how both Taylor and Ed have changed so much in the past decade since their first video/song..... both have gone off in the world on their own and done phenomenal things, become two of the top artists worldwide, won every award there is, but despite that, have come to realize that at the end of the day what matters most is actually: being where ever you call home, and spending time with the people who truly know and love you
I think it's time for a ✨grandkid roundup!✨
Make way for the swag Madrigal kiddos.
I lost some of my lifespan from drawing the embroidery on Mirabel's skirt lmao /j

I did a thing you’re welcome.
― Sally Rooney, Normal People / Beautiful World, Where Are You
At any given moment, these ‘soulmates-ey’ quotes by Sally Rooney are all I’m thinking about. I’m not a religious person at all, I don’t “believe” in soulmates, but anytime I’m not actively concentrating all my energy to a particular task, my idle mind outreaches to these quotes and just... sits with them. Holds on to them. Doesn’t even assasinate the semantics or the meaning or the significance or tries to come out with theories or explanations defying/ advocating these feelings. Just basks in them. And melts.
this feeling always stays at the back of my mind. i can’t brush it off. and what’s worse is that i actually like feeling soft while basking in these quotes. keeps getting me butterflies constantly. sometimes i feel like i’m 17 all over again

I'm not a religious person but I do sometimes think God made you for me.

"Maybe we're just born to love and worry about the people we know, and to go on loving and worrying even when there are more important things we should be doing. And if that means the human species is going to die out, isn't it in a way a nice reason to die out, the nicest reason you can imagine? Because when we should have been reorganising the distribution of the world's resources and transitioning collectively to a sustainable economic model, we were worrying about sex and friendship instead. Because we loved each other too much and found each other too interesting. And I love that about humanity, and in fact it's the very reason I root for us to survive - because we are so stupid about each other."
- Sally Rooney, Beautiful World, Where Are You
