This is the 4th time the US has stopped a permanent ceasefire. It is the ONLY country to be against it while 14 nations are in favour. Read the sentence again. Take it in. The most powerful country in the world wanted a settler colony to continue their genocidal agenda. Continue the blockade and let the manufactured famine persists. Diseases will spread, prices will increase, and more lives will be lost.

How can they enjoy a full-on meal while many families are digging through expired food to eat? Don't they deserve a proper meal? Don't they deserve to taste the flavour and have their stomachs full?

At the same time, there are many institutions complicit and they make sure Palestinians don't have access to the financial resources to sustain themselves. PayPal is one of them. On October 7th, the crowdfunding platform has announced that they have shut down fundraising services. Those with an existing one will need to complete their goals by January 12th, 2025.

Iyad Sobhe (@iyadsgaza) and Ruba Abushahan (@rubashsblog) are raising funds with PayPal ever since GFM has either terminated their fundraiser or made them lose access. Iyad has lost 11K while Ruba can no longer withdraw the 27K They cannot afford to start all over when PayPal is their last resort. So we have less than 2 MONTHS to raise the entire amount of 60K. Please donate and share! Donations have slowed down significantly, resulting in 1 or 2 donations per day, when we should be raising $600!

Arcane is not a subtle show and I am not complaining in the slightest.

Silco really pulled a jinx and accidently killed one of his found family members, either with a bomb or by stoking the enforces rage whilst trying to help them. And then Vander took out his rage on Silco and tried to kill him (something Vander clearly regretted, but dam man) like it's no wonder Silco imprinted on Jinx so hard, they practically have the exact same backstory.

It could also explain why he hates Vi so much, as aside from her ruining his plans she's like the second coming of Vander to him. So, he ended pushing all of his unresolved hatred to Vander onto her, it actually explains why he went so feral during the dinner party.

Silco and Jinx even have the same hair like this is not funny, at this point I wouldn't even be surprised if Silco also used to make bombs and gadgets in the past.

Jayce/Silco mirroring & other stuff Ive noticed

Starting with the big season 2 opener as pointed out by sage-nebula:

Zaun/Piltover figureheads rushing to save a loved one with their respective creations (Shimmer/Hextech); said creations leading to corruption and a loss of control. Silco frequently referred to as the Industrialist, leading Zaun into a new age, Jayce is posited as the Innovator, making Piltover more profitable than it's ever been. Misery following both choices.

Jayce's endgame look shares a lot of visual aspects with Silco's main coat, incl. the red gilded lapels and all those straps. His body is also being corrupted by hextech into unnatural scar tissue. Scars are more prominent in the wild rift model even if the colors are a bit off from the show itself (2nd pic)

And if you remember, these two actually had a pretty big scene in season 1, which echoes the above sentiments and has Jayce pushing a negotiation for Zaun's independence - at this point in time, it's the closest we got to Silco's dream being realized before the big meltdown:

This feels like a really interesting scene now in the context of how he was asked to sacrifice jinx. And now jayce's entire world outlook is shaped by constant sacrifices to avoid impending doom.

There are a few more twisted parallels to this too; silco killing vander, jayce killing viktor in the name of preserving their ideals - vander being mutated by singed, again singed mixing viktor's blood with vanderwick in the act 3 teaser.

Previously I had compared the ep6 jayvik kill circumstances with vander's blinding rage leading him to try and drown silco in the river but I don't think the parallels are so clear anymore. It's looking like the further we go into the story, the more jayce/viktor change into a blur that mixes vander/silco's motivations together - viktor's weird, corrupted peacekeeper front inside the cult and how he connects to vander's memories admiring the man that he was in life. Jayce feeling in the flesh that the only way forward demands firsthand pain and power and sacrifice, not placidity.

Interested to see where act3 viktor goes. Vander working with enforcers = Viktor working with noxus I guess 😭😭 well I just hope they beat eachother 1v1 style. and I hope he ends up following through with his pledge for Zaun's independence

was looking at the lyrics for cocktail molotov (the song that plays during vi’s pitfighter scene) and i wanted to point out a few things. spoilers for act 2 under the cut.

those first few lines refer to the actual pitfighting going on but also vi’s complete lack of self preservation at this point. she doesn’t care what happens to herself, she’s “nothing anymore” with no one left to protect. “on the bend” refers to her alcoholism which i really hope they explore more in act 3. then we have “sick of who i am and what i’m talking about” which is referring to vi becoming an enforcer and the immense amount of guilt she feels. guilt over becoming an enforcer sure, but also everything that has led her up to that point. when vander told vi “whatever happens, it’s on you” all those years ago, she internalized it to an unhealthy extent. vi blames herself for everything, even things that are out of her control. and it’s this overwhelming guilt that drives her to become an enforcer in the first place.

“no pretty face can save me now” no more caitlyn for vi to rely on. ohhh toxic yuri how i love you. vi and cait’s relationship has had a clear power imbalance from the beginning. it’s caitlyn’s pity for vi that leads her to break her out of stillwater in the first place. this power imbalance has been an ongoing struggle for vi until eventually she is able to let her guard down around caitlyn. and of course the same episode that guard comes down and they kiss, caitlyn, clouded by grief, breaks up with vi when they need each other most. and the worst part? vi feels like she deserves it because of her guilt over what happened with powder. she knows exactly what it’s like to push away a loved one while dealing with loss. and it isn’t until she makes peace with jinx in act 2 that vi is able to start to forgive herself.

“lock me up” is repeated throughout the song, referencing vi’s seven years spent in stillwater and how it contributed to her overwhelming guilt. right after making a horrible mistake in grief fueled rage, she’s immediately thrown in prison. not exactly the best environment for her to process everything that happened. “i’ve gone and jinxed it” obviously referring to jinx herself and vi’s role in the creation of her, while also highlighting a similarity between the sisters stemming from their shared trauma. both blame themselves for what happened in 1x03. like jinx, vi thinks of herself as the common thread in everything awful that has happened.

and here we have the inevitable product of vi’s unhealthy mindset. suicidal ideation and intense depression. when your self worth is based on your ability to shield your loved ones from harm, it’s a self fulfilling prophecy that will only ever end in failure. it’s about the inherent tragedy of being a parentified eldest sibling, and how that mentality can continue to ruin future relationships if not addressed. hopefully after vi and jinx’s reconciliation will vi be able to start to forgive herself, which is also a necessary step she needs to take in order for her to forgive caitlyn.
