My own son??? Happy to see ME??? For real?!?
Man, we have got to stop treating art like it has an expiration date. That show stopped airing? Doesn’t mean it can’t haunt your every waking thought. Everybody’s into this album, but you don’t have the energy for new music right now? It’ll be waiting for you when you’re ready. That movie’s fifty years old and indie as shit? Incredible, you have the chance to share it with folks who might never otherwise feel that particular punch of delight. Books don’t go bad. Shows inspire fandoms decades after they’ve wrapped up. We’re still looking at cave paintings and statue work from ancient times and letting the joy of creation bring tears to our eyes. That’s the point of art. It’s as close to immortality as we ever get. Why try to give that magic a shelf life?

I feel it would be good to have a word that's like not ragebait but shamebait, where you can read a post and just go 'ah, this person just wants me to feel ashamed of myself and is not engaging with the issue in a constructive or useful way. I do not have to participate in this actually' and like. move on with your day
so this guy right he makes ancient egyptian themed furry costumes. he makes all kinds but mostly he specializes in Horus heads. it's his passion really. he loves to make the beautiful falcon head of the Sun God. anyway so he's at a con one day and he sees this whole bunch of people in middle kingdom dress with these indistinguishable animal heads. he's like. oh man these folks could really use a new source, i can hardly tell what animal those are! so he goes over and he says "hey guys! i see you are into ancient egyptian mythological themed furry costumes--if any of you are interested in being the radiant Son of Ra, I am the BEST in the business!"
and the group of people look at each other, then at him. awkward. finally one of them says: "uh. no thanks. we're all Set."
This has been sent to me four times today, so I'm condemning OP to be judged by the 42 and fall into Nuun.
I think every laugh will make OP’s heart a bit lighter.

I laughed, I lighten his heart.
His heart shall be heavier for this.

are there people who pronounce prawn as pron?
Most Canadians, and many Americans (especially the younger ones), pronounce all "aw" sounds this way. Here is a fancy map of how it is in the US; for people in blue places, "rot" and "wrought" tends to be pronounced the same, and in for people in red places, they tend not to be pronounced the same. In England, of course, they are different. (Scots pronounce them the same, though.)
hi, sorry to ask this of you, but the link to the pikmin svp broke, if it's not too much trouble would you be willing to upload it again?
I've fixed the link; thank you for the reminder!

So my mom has an acquaintance friend who thinks I (as my deadname) died as a baby because she doesn't know I'm trans. This is very funny to me.
My mom didn't like, set out to lie. It's just that the friend was over while my mom was packing to move earlier this year, and spotted something from my childhood with my deadname on it. And this friend already knew that my mom only has one child. The friend went "oh, was this from a baby who passed?" My mom was unprepared and didn't know what else to say on the spot, but didn't want to out me, so she just went "yes." And NOW it's too late to correct this without it being weird for everyone. So uh. Now I am my own sibling, who died.
Putting the dead in deadname.

A Pine Marten in its element—darting across a snowy log with that mix of curiosity and mischief that makes these Minnesota encounters unforgettable. Fast, elusive, and always a thrill to photograph, moments like this are why winter workshops in the North feel so alive. Blink and you miss them… but when the timing clicks, it’s magic.

For those who don’t know, that’s Gacek !
Gacek - Wikipedia
He was well known as tourists would pay him visits and feed him, which was unhealthy for him… but he recovered and now has a home ! He is a true icon, he even had his own Google Maps reviews.
